2011 was my favorite year as a pop music fan! We had Femme Fatale by Britney, Stronger by Kelly Clarkson, Goodbye Lullaby by Avril Lavigne, 4 by Beyoncé... Of course that there was a lot of ugly albums too but most of my faves released pretty solid stuff back then and i don't think we had any good year for music as this one ever since tbh.

My heart is broken to read this. At the same time I'm surprised, how could anyone be so clueless to say something like this when her fanbase these days is basically composed by gay men? let's see how her team will try to fix it.

Heidi Montag’s ‘Superficial’ Is the Most Underrated Album of All Time
liberation replied to liberation's topic in Jukebox
Been really revisiting this album ever since i found this article. I think my favorite tracks are 'Look How I'm Doing', 'Turn Ya Head', 'Superficial', 'Twisted', 'Blackout' and 'I'll Do It' but i really think the entire album is great. I also think i love the album more after reading her thoughts on this after all these years. One could think that she just wants to forget about her failed music career but she talks about with a lot of pride. She's really honest about the fact that she got all the songs from other writers and even that some of them doubted her capacity of making a good interpretation of their songs and she's not ashamed of it because she knows she's done her best. A true queen! -
This article published by Life&Style Magazine brings a lot of facts about the pop bible Superficial, released in 2010 by Heidi Montag. My favorite part of it it's that at the end we can read a lot of Heidi's opinions about the album tracks, so i thought i'd share it here: 01. Look How I'm Doing 02. Turn Ya Head 03. Fanatic 04. Superficial 05. More Is More 06. One More Drink 07. Twisted 08. Hey Boy 09. My Parade 10. Blackout 11. I'll Do It 12. Love It or Leave It

I'm glad that now she won't have to sell drugs for a living She should just accidentally leak her demo right now and then drop a new single right after- 4 comments

So nice to see you writing here! Well, i love Tinashe and Aquarius is one of the best albums ever released imo, so obviously when Joyride was announced i was super excited. Player was everything but then we started to see that things weren't going well for her. Then she released Superlove which was cute and Nightride which was amazing, but i guess that at that point we started to accept that Joyride wasn't going to be what she intended in 2015. I was really devastated when she released that disgusting song Flame and after reading that she was forced to release that shit i wasn't surprised at all. Anyway, what i mean is that after this long process i slowly lost my interest in this album. Like, of course i was happy to see her releasing the album finally and she seems to be pretty satisfied with the final thing after all, but tbh i'm not really amazed with anything besides the title track and No Contest. As a whole i think it is better than most successful things these days and i liked most of the tracks (this is a shade for you Me So Bad) but i don't see these songs going anywhere and they don't show her potential at all imo. I hope that she'll be dropped this year so she can start over with some label that really supports her

I wonder if we'll ever get to hear this in full

Stan the bible of pop Bionic! My favorite track is Elastic Love, so futuristic and different of everything queen X has ever done. And yes, Bobblehead is a bop. I think some people hate it just because they took it too seriously when it was probably just meant to be a messy and fun track. I also love this remix:

All of our favorite singers have unreleased tracks, b-sides or bonus tracks in their discography that are better than the songs that made their albums. So i was wondering, what are the best hidden gems that your faves have? Here's a few of mine:
-
She's released an EP on iTunes with several versions of the song. Of course my favorite has to be the Initial Talk Remix! They already slayed on the remix of Dancing by Kylie and once again they delivered quality:

I'M SORRY BUT I HAVE TO DO THE ALEXANDRA BURKE COMMENT Are all these song titles real? Almost Love Song, Honeymoon Days and Lavender Hills looks very interesting tbh

Right? Basic Instinct, Ciara and Jackie are all SO good and people dismissed them so much. Ciara is an underrated queen and an excellent performer.

i'm glad that someone mentioned Glassheart, such a great and underrated album I feel like i'm obligated to add this one too, might not be a big flop compared to other flops but it still had way less than it deserved, especially after the success of Breakaway. Plus, it has one of my favorite covers ever (probably second favorite after 'Fever' by Kylie)

Out of everyone in this forum i never expected you to be so tasteless... I hope you at least know her iconic singles 'Don't Give It Up' and 'Twist of Fate'

scrapped albums In memory of.. those scrapped albums
liberation replied to jlnsgr's topic in Jukebox
I agree. I mean, of course i would love to hear her versions of We Found Love and Blank Page, and her version of Burn is great too but at the end the fact that these tracks went to other artists was for the best i guess. The unreleased tracks i've heard are great but none of them is album worthy imo. Glassheart is her best album and it with a better promotion it could've slayed commercially -
Did Louisa J "Yes" copy Samantha Jade "Shake That" ?
liberation replied to DockDock's topic in Jukebox
Oh i can see your point with that question, there's something in both songs that really sound similar. Louisa's song is superior though -
Why Sony Music Australia make their artist to do COVER ALBUMS
liberation replied to DockDock's topic in Jukebox
Mess, i totally forgot about Coverage You're totally right on this one. It wasn't a cover album in the Sony AUS / X Factor style though, with cheesy songs and no personality at all, that's probably the reason why i haven't thought of it- 10 replies

Why Sony Music Australia make their artist to do COVER ALBUMS
liberation replied to DockDock's topic in Jukebox
In my opinion cover albums are disgusting and make the artist look pretty basic i do think it's an easier type of material to sell though, looks like there's always an adult audience who buys this kind of crap. I feel sorry for them to be associated with such an ugly label. Sadly winning X Factor is a curse in disguise, so much potential wasted.- 10 replies

Thank you so much for sharing! lmao her breakdown I've felt very happy for her watching this but also very sad because she didn't get to have the career she deserved. Simon can choke, hate him so much! Even though my #1 and #2 faves are Christina and Britney, the UK pop has some magic that is absent in US music, i just feel very sorry that the audience there tends to forget some amazing artists after their first or second album
