This is all interesting. I totally forgot about that commercial with Rihanna! I remember her mentioning in an interview that she was approached to perform, but she said no given the NFL's stance on that whole thing with players kneeling during the national anthem. Still, I wonder how deep she got in terms of conversations with them before things broke down. They must have been talking about it for a while if she filmed a commercial and everything! Especially bizarre since with the pandemic, I would think that the presentation would be even more of a consideration! Still not a fan. The whole first ten minutes were boring tbh...It would have made a good SNL performance but considering the budget and space he had to work with here it was really underwhelming. Once the dancers come out onto the field I was a little more impressed but that only took up like three minutes of the whole fifteen minute long performance!
