100%, plus JoJo re-recorded them so the musicians could earn the proper residuals Blackground was cockblocking them from because of their piss-poor contracts and business practices. She had to re-record them to benefit from them. Taylor, on the other hand, did not need to re-record anything. Millions of millions of dollars she, the writers, the producers, etc., all earned in those original releases; millions more than so many others could dream of. I don't give a freakin' frank fuck if Taylor hates Scooter Braun or not, but that's also no reason to cry over this. If it were truly about owning her masters (as she's claimed), then she could have re-recorded, sent to digital streamers, and called it again. Instead, she produced physical packaging, multiple re-issues, and cashed in on her fans, knowing they're moronic enough to buy multiples of every single damn variant. And I take comfort in knowing that, as of January 2024, the "Taylor's version" of Fearless, Red, and Speak Now hadn't even hit $1M in sales in the States. Look, I'm not someone to sit here and say, "Well, you should be doing XYZ with your craft over ABC," because that's disingenuous, and I hate when others do it. I may suggest what I'd like, but, yeah... in return, Braun (via Big Machine) only owned the masters for 16 or so months before selling them to Shamrock Holdings, and still then, she was pissed about it and refuted their offers. It's all a scheme; again, I respect Taylor as a businessperson in how she announces her work and everything she does put into it, but these re-recordings have never sat right with me from day one.

No shit; I respect her business savvy, but the continued cash grabbing from her fans has been something else... now she'll be making money, twice as much, off of both the original and "Taylor's version" editions. It is bullshit. I get wanting to own her masters, but the money she and the musicians made off of the original releases is more than anyone could have even imagined; this wasn't a JoJo situation. This was "I want more" situation.

Scammer Alert: User "musicislife ( Nora on leaked.cx)
CUNTISSIMO replied to cold4716's topic in Information Desk
Again, as I stated, what you choose to do/not do in PMs ultimately does not affect us. You agreed to a trade; the other person did not fulfill it. Being a shit person is not actionable like that. It's more of a life lesson for you. Unless they threatened your life, nothing can truly be done, especially in the age of VPNs, etc. Uhm, I already mentioned this, so if you read my response, you'd know the stance on that. -

No offence, but what you all do/do not do in PMs (private messages) is your business and your business alone. You're the one who made the deal with the user(s) in question, not the administration. If we want to get technical, you're both trading copyrighted material, which is illegal, so by legal terms, not only should you both be banned, but certain sections of the board should be shut down. Next time, be better in who you handle your trading with; if it came down to sharing media, I would've orchestrated a song-for-song trade. I get one, you get one, etc. -
Again, nothing for me to attend. Oh well, but I'm glad she's touring!

The latest installment of the Grand Theft Auto franchise heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond.

I'm here for new Bonnie music, and hoping a music video or two along the way, as well.

I would have more likely done: All the Lovers Get Outta My Way Too Much / Illusion (A-side) Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love) Cupid Boy

A universe in which "All the Lovers" is not the lead single is unfathomable.

Hilary Duff – Learning to Fly (2004) Learning to Fly is my take on Hilary Duff's third album, Hilary Duff. Given Duff's belief that the material from both this album and its predecessor, Metamorphosis, were not the sounds she'd want to produce for a "Hilary Duff album", it makes no sense for this album to be self-titled, as it sells a false narrative. So, in my plan, we take the title from her DVD release, Learning to Fly, which would benefit the album a bit more. I also believe the album's length of 17 tracks is a bit too long for someone of Duff's calibre, especially around this time. A shorter, more concise tracklist would have removed [some] of the filler content from this release, and I also think it could have helped with single selection in promoting this album a bit more than Hollywood Records actually did. Track listing Weird Mr James Dean Who's That Girl Dangerous to Know Underneath This Smile I Am The Getaway Haters Someone's Watching Over Me Hide Away Fly Rock This World Jericho Singles August 2004: Who's That Girl October 2004: Someone's Watching Over Me (limited radio release, in promotional with Raise Your Voice) November 2004: The Getaway February 2005: Haters May 2005: I Am

FIVE?! That's exciting; praying we get a music video or two and then the next album by the year's end.

Jennifer Lopez – Rebirth (2005) Rebirth was not a struggling album; however, its single selections and overall promotion left much to be desired by the general public and by her fans, alike. I would simply have changed the singles from the album, as the track listing was a consistent flow from beginning to end. Singles November 2004: Get Right March 2005: Step into My World July 2005: Cherry Pie October 2005: Whatever You Wanna Do February 2006: Ryde or Die

Better come with a couple of [4K] music videos.

You better, because it's a camp pop masterpiece. And the girls that get it, get it. And the girls that don't, don't. And I'm expecting you to be one of the girls that get it!
