Katy Perry – 143 (2024) 143 was not a bad album in its concept, however, some fixes could have been done to strength the overall cohesion of the album's flow, including bumping some of the 1432 bonuses to the main album, and including some other songs performed by other artists, that could have better suited an artist like Katy Perry. I would love personally loved for her to reunite with Alesso & Space Primates for the album; their collaboration in "When I'm Gone" was such a fresh sound for Perry that it could have worked real well in this album's project. So long as it's on the album; I mean, both songs are miles better than some of what's on Tension II, which easily could have been a Tension re-issue.

Amazing, although, hate that "Dancing Alone" & "Midnight Ride" are excluded from Tension II, as both are some of the better editions for this album.

I completely agree with that assessment; I feel like "Used to Love You" is what sold the album we actually got, which is a shame.

Kind of pissed off this release was canceled; I feel like "Let Me Reintroduce Myself" got some relatively decent music press at the time of its release, and it wasn't a bad song. Honestly, for a Gwen Stefani album title, it would have worked. I mean, her debut was essentially L.A.M.B. so it would have worked for her.

Also, it's weird to see "We're Good" included, as it came towards the end of the album's sessions, and was kept off due to it not fitting the "future" and "nostalgia" theme of the album. Plus, it was unfinished at the time of the album's release.

FLOP!

Underwhelmed, and not knowing most of the nominations -- which is no surprise for me, who doesn't go too far into the Billboard Hot 100 / Billboard 200.

Following the highly-acclaimed Spirit, Echo was Leona Lewis' second studio album. It saw her working with many "name" producers, such as: Max Martin, Harvey Mason Jnr, John Shanks & Ryan Tedder, among others, however, Syco⏤much like with the release of Spirit⏤mishandled the fuck out of this era. "Happy" was the album's lead single and while praised by critics, I felt like it provided a false start to the era, and isn't a single-worthy release. I would have kicked-off the era with its second single, "I Got You" and went from there. Praised as the next Mariah Carey, Céline Dion & Whitney Houston, I do believe Lewis was always set up to fail by Syco and her management, and it's unfortunate because of her powerful gift.
