1. Glam
2. Not Myself Tonight
3. Desnudate
4. Elastic Love
5. Woohoo (feat. Nicki Minaj)

After analysing what went wrong with this era, I tried to fix the singles like this. Glam is a safer lead single whereas Not Myself Tonight, despite having some success, was overshadowed with backlash via Gaga comparisons. Desnudate should have been a single, period. Forever a crime in pop history. It would have been a better follow up single whereas Woohoo was hit with the same accusation that Not Myself Tonight received, that she wasn't being "authentic". Elastic Love is the saviour single for this rollout, You Lost Me being released as a single in the summer was a terrible choice and also was a failure. I Hate Boys is an amazing song but it also deemed immature by critics, so closing the era with a Nicki Minaj collab, especially when Nicki's debut album was on the horizon would have been a more logical move.

Bebe Rexha - I'm the Drama (2024)

bebe-rexha-im-the-drama-moonchild-1500-px.png

Imagine she was able to drop a final album before parting ways with Warner in 2024. The leaked material suggests there was a bunch of solid songs that could have made up an entire record in that vein. So, here's my proposed concept, titled the same as "I'm the Drama", her final single with the label.

Album release date: 19 July 2024.

Singles from I'm the Drama:

  1. "I'm the Drama" (17 May 2024)
  2. "Chase It" (28 June 2024)
  3. "AM/PM" (23 August 2024)
  4. "Surrender" (11 October 2024)

Tracklist:

  1. I'm the Drama
  2. Feed My Obsession
  3. Nevermind (feat. Oliver Tree)
  4. Chase It
  5. AM/PM
  6. Feel the Rush
  7. Bullet
  8. Because of U
  9. Surrender
  10. High for This
  11. Beat It Up
  12. Light That Leads Me with Netsky

Agreed. I don't think by any means it's a bad album, its just a bit overstuffed. B Alright is my only skip though, I might relisten to the og album though and retweak my tracklist because whilst I think my order is surprisingly perfect, I want to squeeze a song between the great forever and night.

Lotus by Christina Aguilera (2012)

886443642737.jpg

Tracklist (by @Prince of the Dark)

Spoiler

1. Lotus
2. Army of Me
3. Let There Be Love
4. Red Hot Kinda Love
5. Your Body
6. Around the World
7. Light Up the Sky
8. Sing for Me
9. Blank Page
10. Empty Words
11. Cease Fire
12. Best of Me

Single Rollout

1. Your Body
2. Let There Be Love
3. Red Hot Kinda Love
4. All Around The World
5.  Cease Fire
6. Just A Fool
(general standalone single, later tacked as a bonus track to boost sales)

Hot take but this album truly isn't as bad as how people make it out to be. It has some weak spots honestly, but it was rushed to a certain degree because there are some songs where her genuine effort does shine through. I also wish we had more bops like Your Body and Let There Be Love too. That aside, there is a real good 12 track decent pop record hiding beneath the fluff.

Oh ngl this is the only Xtina album I've ver listened to and I loved it! Well... my tracklist is what I ever listen from this record so yeah lol - thanks for using it! Some serious bops were hiding in this album, but what the fuck was that single selection the label went with ffs. Only Your Body and Just a Fool? They wanted her to flop so BAD. Your singles choice is perfect! Maybe I'd add Army of Me because it's also very catchy and radio friendly, but the options were right there! Let There Be Love was the most obvious single choice that was left untouched. The hit that got away methinks

If it was up to me I would've pushed for Your Body, Let There Be Love, Army of Me, Red Hot Kinda Love and All Around the World, maybe with Cease Fire as some promotional single somewhere between singles or shortly before the album release.

Brave by Jennifer Lopez (2007)

JenniferLopez-07Brave.jpg

Much like Rebirth, Brave was not a weak album. However, similar to its predecessor, the album's single selections and overall promotion left both the general public and her fans disappointed. I never stood by the last-minute decision to swap "Hold it Don't Drop It" for "Do It Well" as the lead. Plus, Lopez's eventual pregnancy caused all promotion to cease.

Additionally, the use of "Miles in These Shoes" for Desperate Housewives really was a missed opportunity to capitalise on it as a single from the project. However, there were steps I could have taken to guarantee the album maintained a strong release and some longevity, and then Lopez could still have taken her break ahead of the Love? project.

This is accomplished considering that Como Ama una Mujer had been released in 2006 as it was first intended, allowing most of 2007 for the promotion of Brave, which would have been released in May in this timeline.

Singles

  1. February 2007: Hold It Don't Drop It
  2. May 2007: Stay Together
  3. September 2007: Mile in These Shoes
  4. January 2008: Brave / Wrong When You're Gone
  5. July 2008: Forever
  6. October 2008: Gotta Be There

Marilyn Manson
Portrait of an American Family: Reframed (idea for a deluxe reissue)

Poaaf-frame-isometric-1.jpg
(ive tried to edit the image but its in poor quality cos its not available outside of this)

so i always thought this album could have been a little longer plus some songs were still performed after the album came out (White Knuckles) plus songs that were considered for the album but either were pulled from the tracklist at the last minute (Filth) or simply decided to be left off. there are roughly 40+ total songs that were recorded/demoed from 1989-1993 before the album came out in 1994 including the songs that were released. this is my take on how i would expand the album by inserting tracks into the final tracklist. i thought about removing Cyclops just because its a long list but i really cant bring myself to remove anything and if i were to just put the added tracks into their own bonus disc, id want to fill that up with the full 80 minutes a CD can take up and i feel that would be too much lol.

  1. Prelude (The Family Trip)
  2. Cake and Sodomy
  3. Dune Buggy
  4. Lunchbox
  5. Organ Grinder
  6. Insect Pins
  7. Cyclops
  8. Dope Hat (remove that 20 or so seconds of near-silence at the intro)
  9. Get Your Gunn
  10. Wrapped in Plastic
  11. Filth
  12. Dogma
  13. White Knuckles
  14. Sweet Tooth
  15. Thrift
  16. Snake Eyes and Sissies (i wanted to use the demo version from The Manson Family Album cassette rip thats online but it sounds so slow in comparison to the album version despite there being additional lyrics lol though it is a full minute longer)
  17. My Monkey
  18. Misery Machine (im using the edited B-side version from the Get Your Gunn CD single)

total length - 1:15:57

Damita Jo by Janet Jackson (2004)

JanetJackson-09DamitaJo.jpg

Inspired by @Capsule in the General Chat, I am tackling the singles and promotion of Damita Jo, the eighth studio album by Janet Jackson. Developed as a concept album, "All Nite (Don't Stop)", "My Baby" and "R&B Junkie" were all contenders for leads, but "Just a Little While" was ultimately chosen and quickly pushed aside for "I Want You", despite radio being interested in "Sexhibition", "Island Life", "Thinkin' 'Bout My Ex", and "My Baby". The pieces were there for a really magnificent era, even despite the unjust Super Bowl blacklisting. Here is how I would have fixed the era:

Singles

  1. November 2003: All Nite (Don't Stop)
  2. February 2004: R&B Junkie / Just a Little While
  3. May 2004: Sexhibition
  4. August 2004: Thinkin' 'Bout My Ex
  5. November 2004: I Want You
  6. March 2005: Island Life
  7. July 2005: SloLove

All For You by Janet Jackson (2000)

janetjackson-allforyou-cwdt.jpg

Tracklist

Spoiler

1. All For You
2. 2wayforyou (Interlude)
3. Come On Get Up
4. Feels So Right
5. Someone To Call My Lover
6. Clouds (Interlude)
7. Son of a Gun (I Betcha Think This Song Is About You) (feat. Carly Simon & Missy Elliot)
8. Truth
9. Theory (Interlude)
10. When We Oooo
11. China Love
12. Love Scene (Ooh Baby)
13. Would You Mind?
14. Lame (Interlude)
15. Doesn't Really Matter
16. Conversation (Interlude) Intro Retitled
17. Trust A Try
18. Better Days
19. Outro

It's a cute album but def not my fave amongst her releases because it felt slightly jumbled. My fave track run was from When We Oooo to Would You Mind, it was beautiful, and the start of the album felt a little rough-ish. I'll probably tweak two sections of this but i really like how most of this flows in this order.
