Ava Max - Heartbeats & Heartbreaks

Soon after the messy rollout of her well-received sophomore album Diamonds & Dancefloors, Ava releases her third album using outtakes from both her first and second albums plus some brand new tracks, with only four singles supported by music videos each. The record features a wider variety in sounds, ranging from pop to R&B and rock-influenced songs, making it her most sonically diverse record to date. It would feature a couple ballads as well, and it shows her displaying her vocal range wider than ever.

  1. One Night
  2. Angel's Scar
  3. Falling
  4. Move
  5. Take It All
  6. Without You (feat. Khalid)
  7. Permanent
  8. Obscure Fantasy
  9. Illusion of You
  10. Climb
  11. Battle or Love (feat. Bonnie McKee)
  12. Swords
  13. Heavier Than Memories
  14. Once in a While
  15. Silhouette Deluxe version bonus track
  16. Wish I Knew Deluxe version bonus track
  17. Thinking About You Deluxe version bonus track

Singles from Heartbeats & Heartbreaks:

  1. "Falling"
  2. "One Night"
  3. "Without You"
  4. "Battle or Love"
  5. "Permanent" (promotional; instant grat on release week)

I mean, I'm not even sure there was a full scrapped record before Better Mistakes (for which Last Hurrah would have been the lead single), but I guess so! There were several songs teased back in like 2019 around LH's release (Rose with Thorns, Neighbors in Heaven, California, Alcohol, etc.) and I think potentially there was a different album in the making before the direction changed into what became Better Mistakes. I hope we someday get confirmation of that, scrapped albums are always so exciting to me.

It honestly was a dope concept, I hope we eventually get more songs from around that time to at least have a bigger picture of what the album was like

Whoa, this is so good and I adore the artwork! Also, it definitely would sound like a good bridge between Love Is Dead and Utopia, to make the transition less... harsh. If anything, I'd keep Speed Limit in Utopia but everything else is great.
