It's interesting that I'm just seeing this now, because the pre-order for the Target Edition of the album just came out and it includes two tracks from the unleaked list: Conductor and Pure Feeling. Obviously neither is Tantalus, but since Conductor was registered at roughly the same time as Tantalus, I think there's still hope as far as getting the song later. She hasn't really been a big b-sides artist since Lungs, so it'll be cool to see what we get out of this era with regards to that stuff. Hmm interesting. I remember when they did that Lungs: The B-Side Edition re-release (that's the copy I have of Lungs) so I'm curious if they'd ever go that route after another album is released, like for this record. How many is left that were registered relatively recently, most likely for this record? Just four recent registries left. Well, we already have a Vinyl exclusive (As Far As I Could Get), so I'm holding out more hope for a Japanese Edition with an extra track or four (in an ideal world, Made of Stone, Tantalus, I Wanna Be With You and Unbeliever). Conductor is definitely one of the most interesting titles to me too. It could go a lot of different ways and I appreciate the ambiguity in its simplicity.

They were dating for a number of years and then broke up, which sorta led to her being blackballed by all his friends, professionally. She apparently still has a distaste for him.

Well, I had high hopes when she put out I'm Doin' Me and said she'd be releasing old songs periodically, but they've been dashed in the months since. Apparently she wants to put out five videos before the album, which is stupid because the album's been done for months and she's just wasting money now.

Super interesting title. I'm pretty curious about it too. I know that song's really recently registered, so it's probably from the HBx3 era. She's been taking a more realistic view on life in a lot of the new tracks, so perhaps a song about mythology was too fanciful to fit in.

Doesn't stand out to me. It's very cabaret, which is cool to me, but I can see why it's not interesting to most people.

That's my point. I doubt her relevance has increased any with or without this flunder. And my point is that she doesn't really have to prove herself to the public or have any perceived "relevance". Having Madonna tell you that your work is good does mean something, even if it's just to some random A&Rs or label executives.

Oh! She's not there anymore? I thought their vision was to promote small artists? I don't think this stunt makes her any more relevant than she was before... Cherrytree is one of the small time imprints of Interscope. Artists tend to graduate from it, once they hit the big time. Obviously Natalia worked with Madonna, which increased her profile by enough to leave Cherrytree, at least within the industry. Gaga did the same thing once The Fame smashed. The incident has nothing to do with her leaving the label, as it happened months before she was even on The X Factor NZ.

She and Willy just got fired from the show and are pursuing legal action against it. Considering this eventuality wasn't likely to be in their contracts, I'm sure they'll settle out of court.

I've been watching X Factor NZ with a friend of mine since the season started. We both think this is a result of producer meddling, since earlier in the show, there have been other moments like this that seemed super scripted. I honestly don't give a shit about what she said. In her own words, she's "Natalia Kills, not Natalia Cuddles".
