It is self-reflective and she wants to tell the story of the album, but feels some things may be better off left unsaid. This is sort of a beginning of the end moment. 2-5 explore meeting someone new and slowly falling for them, only for 6-12 to show the cracks of coming out of a honeymoon phase and reminisicing about how good she had it with previous love interests. 13 explores a final goodbye and 14-15 explore the joy of being single. 16-17 explore her lover getting with someone new and her resentment towards that, going out of her way to convince her that he was bad and also trying to convince herself. 18-19 is finally her being transparent, the whole album was a 'Glasshouse' of her feelings throughout the relationship and now she's at her most honest, revealing that the purpose of this story was to lead to her revealing that despite their faults, she still wants him back. Bonnie made a new post on her Substack newsletter, talking about the new bridge for Somebody's Gonna Get Hurt, and confirming the Hot City Deluxe is still coming.

Apparently I'm the only one who still uses this thread lol but I've been getting into Natalie Imbruglia lately and I've seen that she apparently has some scrapped albums (someone probably has more insight on this than me). She confirmed that what she was working on for her third album was mostly scrapped since the label thought it was "too heavy on guitars", some of it was probably reworked for Counting Down the Days. I've seen that an early version of Perfectly and a track called Because of You leaked (though I haven't tracked them down). She also seemingly had an album after CDTD that was instead made into a Greatest Hits and only had a handful of new songs (and some others that made it onto her next album). While I'm here I guess I'll also say I hope the lost Anna Nalick album that she worked with Nathan Chapman on leaks or somehow is released someday.

According to the metadata, Make a Memory was the original. They then changed it to Can't Get Enough but I'm assuming James just never got to record his vocals for said version.

I went to the Addison Rae concert a week or two ago and even though she was great, I'm always disappointed by the lack of awareness and common sense shown by concert goers. This big back tall ass bitch in front of me had her phone up recording literally 90% of the time! And of course she couldn't hold her phone in front of her face like a normal person - she had to reach her arms all the way up so that I couldn't even look over her head to see what's happening in front of her. Literally blocking the view for every single person behind her Then at the end of the show when I was looking for spare Addison dollars, I finally found a couple on the floor. I reached down to get the one closest to me and this OTHER stupid ass bitch pushes in front of me to grab mine, then grabs the one next to her so I couldn't get that one either! People like this are proof to me that communism will NEVER work. It's great in theory but there will always be someone who sees $2 and instead of choosing to share with the other person who has $0, decides to take both for themselves and leaves the other person with nothing Has it always been this bad or am I just getting old and grumpy?

It's been mentioned a couple times here but Fefe Dobson's Firebird is an interesting album (did a run through it for the first time in a while earlier). Pretty sure she said in the lead up to Emotion Sickness that she herself pulled the plug because she was afraid of how people would view it compared to Joy (and specifically that they would think Firebird wasn't as good). Honestly I don't think it lives up to Sunday Love or Joy but it's interesting that after label struggles and whatnot, that she would cancel it herself. I'm sure the label was hesitant as well though since the singles didn't make much noise. Still pretty good as an album, some cool atmospheric stuff on the title track and Charge, good pop moments on Cloud Nine, In Better Hands, Save Myself. Fefe probably has a very limited amount of fans here, but I had some thoughts after not hearing the album for a while.

lol well both put albums out in early 2023 (Ava in January and Melanie in March) and actually Ava has dropped a couple singles since then. Plus Ava has an album coming this year, and a new single with Kygo this week iirc. -------- I'm very hesitant lol it doesn't sound realistic to me although whew if this is legit... I'm actually surprised Melanie is dropping music so soon though? Considering the big gaps between Cry Baby (2015) - K-12 (2019) and After School (2020) - PORTALS (2023), I was not expecting new Melanie until like 2026. I hope they're great though, half of her last album was just not it.
