She was most likely recording background vocals. Bonnie confirmed that Carly wrote the melody on a podcast. You are arguing against Bonnie herself here.

that's what i thought, then i realized Bonnie's leak actually has her on the verses. the hook is identical tho. so i guess Bonnie wrote on this track but they didn't use it.
