  1. Indeed, it does sound like a strong track. Sometimes it just comes down to internal politics 🤷🏼‍♀️. Tbh I have heard weaker Xenomania produced material than this, that did get released (Unperfect I’m looking at you 👀).
  2. We all have them, from time to time.. those moments when we find ourselves getting tingles from and resonating with a song that sometimes actively imbues a total epiphany and the willpower to make (then stick to) a complete change in life.. a flop song that a label has put money behind and actively promotes but the world does not like (or even a song that gets written + recorded but for various reasons nobody even bothers to release at all).. then nothing and the song then either sinks and/ or completely vanishes without trace. This is one of mine.. I would love it to become a solo vehicle for Perrie Edwards at some future point: What’s one of yours? Please try and link on YouTube (whenever possible) and if you think your track would work better being introduced to the public as a vehicle for another artist, feel free to say which one.
  3. AI photo of Nick Jonas is currently going viral. Suddenly I like the idea of a Nick Jonas/ Charlie Puth Sandwich.

    Pre-save Roisin’s [Rosh-een’s] new single “Fader” (June 20th), now:

  5. I first heard about this song way back in 1994, at that point I know it was a source of frustration and that they wanted to polish the vocal in a way that the technology of that time would not allow. I’m therefore low key interested to hear the results. I heard a radio soundbite with Paul McCartney the other day in which he said they had taught their bespoke software to remove a guitar part (and some static interference) and that they were happy with the results. What he did not say, was whether they had used AI of John Lennon’s previously, professionally recorded vocals to augment his later preserved voice from the home recorded cassette tape. Either way, this is the only other available demonstration (and it’s a visual one), of how Paul has authorized the use of tech (in the below example - deep fake), with eyebrow raising results: And it appears they did use the real present day ‘him’ to get it just right:
  6. Charlie Puth for the latest edition of “Interview” Mag.. Is he giving “Top” or “Bottom” energy? .. A debate. What is your view?
  7. There is traction on the music front:
  8. Yours is though.
  9. You are missing the point completely. Stylists get paid a lot of money for a reason! Product Place Price Promotion Don’t ever try and get a job in marketing 😂
  10. Haven't you got something to watch on Fox News? I think my past defense of Mutya Buena speaks for itself. Marketing has zero to do with sexual attraction. Pop music is a business and my comment was on clothes styling and visual marketing in context of maximising demographic appeal (and most styling in the music industry is curated and assembled by gay guys for a reason). When styling is left to straight people, this is what happens:
  11. I absolutely love Bonnie’s look, however having lived through painful situations where talented females have missed the mark with their look (with damaging long term consequences to their careers as a result) - and in order to prevent this being a weakness for Bonnie, with the specific intention of getting straight females on-side, I feel Bonnie needs to adopt a softer, more flowery, ‘hippie’ style look (possibly ‘boho chic’, 70’s inspired) with less emphasis on flesh flashing. Also, vintage ‘T’ Shirts with logo, fluffy pastel colored cardigans paired with denims, heels and a little understated ‘bling’ are fine! There is nothing inclined to alienate straight females more (and therefore a complete demographic), than flesh exposure! The angle I believe Bonnie needs to adopt is that of being a “woman’s woman” and not a “man’s woman”. (The ‘She-Ra’ superhero look for the video is totally fine, would totally work for P.A’s in gay clubs and is clearly ‘show’ clothes). External of that video persona (and image wise generally), being a “man’s woman” in music, never ends well!
  12. I just want you to know as a fellow bonbon, that I really appreciate the level of thought, scope and considered insight you are giving this. Additionally, I would like to give everyone a very timely reminder that we are the audience for these platforms! if we have any kind of issue with the tone or angle of the launch and subsequent album roll-out, we absolutely have the means at our disposal in 2023 to make it very clear to any media platforms in real-time, that we will boycott them in future unless they sharply adjust their angle/ tone and instead adopt one of positivity. It’s worth pointing out that sometimes online articles get re-written and framed more positively, prior to physical publication if initial online feedback regarding a journalists writing is deemed to be sloppy, overtly negative or prejudicial.
  13. I have a funny feeling the beyhive might not share the same sentiment 😬
  14. I can relate at this point to now being majorly over the Antonoff ‘acoustic’ sound, that came to coalesce in that sonic space when the tide turned and the magic of lavish, multi layered, plugged in productions went out of vogue. Going by the comments section on Twitter etc, made in reaction to the news that Bonnie is finally releasing, I really do get a sense that others might also now be ready for the pendulum to swing in the other direction. Who knows, maybe Bonnie could even be the one to fill that need and spearhead a trend for the return of lavish, more electro based productions (particularly those who in the end, will inevitably tire of ‘Padam’) and want something to fill that space. Twinks and clubbers need something to dance to, ‘SLAY’ just about fills that need, in stark contrast let’s face it - Lana’s tepid moves (for example) into dance, are never going to seriously cut it with those demographics. If only there was an organic way to influence Spotify and get them to place new Bonnie releases in uptempo/ electro based playlists. Gays are never gonna not want to support a glitter diva, with a colorful past who we can relate to and genuinely needs our support (like no other current pop girl does) on such a visceral level. Hopefully Bonnie has some P.A’s lined up with the gay clubs around LA and that will also add to momentum on a practical level.
  15. TBH, anything that gets Bonnie any kind of positive exposure, whether that be on social media or spreading the word amongst your friendship group irl. It is not necessarily a bad angle for Bonnie if a journalist draws people’s attention to the fact a certain other person’s hits/ tunes dried up when Bonnie decided to stop working with that other person. It could be spun as.. “Do you want more of that good stuff? Well, here finally is the source.. this time, with her own voice attached to the end product”. The other individual’s bank account is never not going to be healthy, on account of a TV career. Besides, we absolutely know and do not blame another artist for the situation Bonnie found herself in. However, the shit that other artist’s manager pulled behind the scenes cannot and should not be forgiven. I absolutely would not be suggesting we resort to being this real, if we had the luxury of another, equally sharp angle to pull from. It’s not about politics, it’s about nurturing a rich pool of melody and talent, helping her find her own voice and reach her full potential, one that we all believe in.
  16. Anyway placing focus on what’s important, Bonnie has finally found a way to out-manoeuvre the white, straight male patriarchy of Brandon Cobb and Scott Seviour and as good Gays, this is a day to rejoice. Remember to pre-save the single, light a candle, pray to Jesus, cast a spell that Bonnie is now finally at the very edge of becoming the big pop girl that we all know she has the potential to be, have each individually dreamt of her being and ultimately know is in her destiny to become: https://vyd.co/BonnieMckeeSlay
  17. To be fair, these posts have been up for different time periods. There is also (always) a discrepancy in view count between ‘story’ type posts and those published as main profile posts. As one of Bonnie’s main fans on here, you could have made more of an effort to express a positive take at this very delicate moment in time for both Bonnie and her career. Life has two kinds of people, drains and radiators. We should all be making a concerted effort to work together on social media to be the latter (not the former), situational optics are everything!
