Here are all the studio snippets from the Miami Tapes series... well, hopefully. Think I got them all but let me know if I missed something. All of these songs were written and/or finished in April 2022 during the Miami camp. They may appear on either an upcoming Spanglish EP (tentatively Con Amor, originally slated "early 2023"; current status not clear) or their anticipated English album (which they are aiming to finish before the Can't Get Enough Tour starts in June). (EDIT 9/2/2023 - The download links in this post are dead, but all these files are in the mega in the main post) "Forget You Now" (Final studio mix) - https://krakenfiles.com/view/MLzyWLQiID/file.html "Buena" (Final studio mix) - https://krakenfiles.com/view/FK7HA8L2PK/file.html "Casi Boom Boom" (Final studio mix) - https://krakenfiles.com/view/syHweRZ56R/file.html "Want Right Now" (Kendall & Logan demo) - https://krakenfiles.com/view/nLA1ElbzPJ/file.html "Honey" (Kendall, Logan, & Candace Sosa demo) - https://krakenfiles.com/view/mLPoxkmsoj/file.html "Fall" (rough cut) - https://krakenfiles.com/view/TJEfEs9ZvY/file.html "Mood Ring" (Kendall demo) - https://krakenfiles.com/view/0L0cTubWtz/file.html Note, these were just the studio snippets, so not counting footage of the actual writing sessions and recording takes: You can hear a bit more for some like "Forget You Now" or "Dreamworld", but because they're literally in the process of writing and/or recording them, they might not be perfectly representative of anything. (Also, I don't want to overdo it. I do feel a little bad posting clips from their paid content... ) If it's any consolation, and if you're the type that digs this behind-the-scenes BTR stuff, the Tapes series has been phenomenal and absolutely worth checking out! 5 dollars a month for their app is definitely, a choice but I get why they need to build up funds at the moment. These docu- episodes make up about 2 hours of content now, so it's arguably worth a 1-time binge payment (in my opinion). Will add more details about these to the infopost soon!

Not my off-the-cuff vent post impacting PHF history Just kidding, the fact that you went through the effort of making a whole new emote means the whole world to me! I will make sure to send it to everyone else who goes out of their way just to be kind - aka, the absolute best of the #PHFam Maybe it is time to find something new... that web design recommendation perked my ears up. I used to be really into Wikipedia editing and picked up some tidbits of HTML, and I always wanted to try my hand at learning the whole language. I should set some time aside and give that a go! Thank you so much for your reply, and more importantly for all you do for the forum! We don't appreciate it enough.

Easier said than done Though lately I have been seriously considering getting a cat. Never had one but suddenly have an utter fascination with them... I don't how it started and it's really bizarre. Anyway, thank you very, very much for taking the time to reply Strangely I try my best to avoid the news as much as I reasonably can, but lately I've been having terrible anxiety over the state of the world and where it's headed, maybe even worse so when it's just me and my thoughts. I try to focus on the positive but the thought of what life will look like even 10 years from now fills me with a consuming dread and powerlessness. Yet I know I'm not helping anything by thinking so bleakly - I'm doing the best I can not to. At minimum, I plan to continue giving my best effort to find the beauty in life and doing what I can to contribute to it. Thanks again for your advice, your perspective is refreshing. HUGE congrats on your engagement btw!!! It's funny, this is almost verbatim my mom's catchphrase whenever I ask her the same thing. That's when you know you've got some damn solid advice! On the other hand, I'm confident your point about knowing you're not alone is very, very similar to what I probably would have come up with, if I had absolutely no choice but to share advice. I know exactly what you mean!!! It's so weird because on paper it's not at all a positive thing, it's kind of like saying "well, there's not just your little bit of negativity. There's a whole heaping fuckton of it all over the place, more than you could even comprehend 😊 " Well okay that wasn't terribly inspiring, that just means more negativity. But paradoxically, it's also kind of humbling because somehow, your own individual problems suddenly feel less specific to you, almost like... the world doesn't have a vengeance against you, it's just equally, apathetically random towards everyone. (No clue if any of my babbling was coherent either... the idea we're trying to verbalize hardly makes sense anyways!) Wishing you love and luck on your own "funk", whatever it is indeed. Mental health is so abstract, sometimes you don't even know how to describe or even identify why you feel like something's wrong. I'm grateful for how rapidly our understanding of it has grown in recent times, and how much it continues to. It's a good sign, however small in the grand scheme of things, for the future!
-
Hey yall, this is an extremely basic question, but what motivates you to keep going everyday? My equally-generic reason for asking is that I'm struggling to find my own answer, and really need some advice from someone who knows how that feels. The weight of the world is crushing me and I don't know what to do anymore. Thank you to this forum for always being a reliable safe space, and sending love to all the wonderful people who help make it that way

AND ITS TIIIME YOUUUUUU just face it don't pretend.

This one's called "Buena"! The snip/video is from one of the Miami Tapes eps in the paid BTR app. They're basically a documentary on the Miami sessions last year, and there's been a *ton* of new snippets throughout - I'll see if I can grab them all sometime this week!

INFOPOST UPDATE! Hey guys, finally have some news to share about the “infopost”, or whatever exactly describes the demonic nightmare this project has become. A couple weeks ago, I quietly put up rough versions of the first three “sections” – the first covers everything you need about the pre-BTR times (or as I've named it, B.K.: Before Kendall), while the others take you through the whole of the BTR and Elevate eras, placing the bookmark at November 2011. Forgive the choppy writing and grammar mistakes, it’s the best I can do right now, unfortunately. What matters is, all the right info is there, and I’m confident you’ll be able to follow the "timeline" at least fairly well (even if it could use a liiittle trimming… ) Anyway, the reason I never mentioned this was because, at the time, I was waiting until the whole thing was ready. The plan was to finish the last three sections over the next days. And now, almost three weeks later, I am STILL painfully stuck on only the very next one. And believe me, it is NOT because I haven’t been working on it. I’ll save you from another one of my endless streams of consciousness and just give you the gist: This section is legions harder to formally present than anything I’ve ever written in this thread, and possibly even at all, as batshit ridiculous as that sounds about a Big Time Rush forum post (Don't even ask…) Frankly, after far too many frustrating days of wrestling it into submission, I’m just not having fun anymore, and need to admit a temporary defeat. Sorry guys, but I have to ‘officially’ put a cork in this project for a while. I’m simply all BTR-d out. Sucks, but I've had to reluctantly accept that it's straight impossible to finish this until my passion is fully recharged, and back up to the challenge. Best I can do is quote my all-time favorite song... “it is what it is." Anyway, thank you guys for understanding. And an even bigger, even more heartfelt thank you for all your feedback and encouragement since the very start of this thread! I'm insanely proud of how far I've pushed BTR documentation in general over the last year and half, and this was only the beginning Will probably be quite some time before the next update, but I hope the first can reflect even a fraction of the love I've poured into everything so far. Hope you enjoy for now… I’ll be back.

New 'Midnight Somewhere' snippet! Well, the same one from the TikTok live, recorded from a different angle. From the new Miami Tapes episode in the BTR app. https://krakenfiles.com/view/Zm63fxXbPR/file.html Thank you @Ninjser for the quick rip!

Yes and no... frustratingly, there's no trace of the song itself. Out of all 'rumored' songs, this is the only one I'm willing to guess is probably legit. Reason being, the context the person gave checks out disturbingly well, especially given it's something very, very few people even know about. RAS did a Ustream about two days after Elevate came out, where he and Infinity played a shit-ton of unreleased snippets and outtakes while editing them. That's where the "Drive" and "Wherever You Are" snippets came from! Sadly, aside from those and a few minutes of vocal outtakes, nothing else from that stream ever resurfaced after it ended. To back this up a little more (if you're willing to take my word for it), while I've only heard of that particular 'break-up' type snippet from that Reddit, I do know for a fact there are snippets we don't have from that stream. I've seen multiple different tweets and Tumblr posts from that day all mentioning a song (likely) titled "Ready to Fly", in addition to the 2 we do have. It's not impossible at all there were more! Ooh, I haven't looked into that before! It's been a long-ass time since I've seen some of the episodes lol and that's one of them, but I remember it, I'm guessing it plays when she and the girl group are recording, right? I don't really know anything other than, it's totally possible she tracked her own demo of it, or at the very least more (well, obviously I guess) than what she sings in the final! IIRC she had a separate session very soon after (or maybe right before) BTR did theirs. So even tho the collab was *probably* planned at that point, I'm guessing they had her cut a ton of lines, if not all of them before they knew exactly how it would turn out! P.S. I've been putting off opening the can of worms that is different mixes in the show... there's quite a few, and those are just the ones I've noticed so far😳 For example, the episode with Count on You has Jordin singing louder in a lot of lines!

Great question! To the best of my knowledge, it's pretty unlikely. I was able to trace that rumor back to an old comment at the BTR wiki from July 2013, where someone with an NSYNC username claimed the song had leaked "from Logan's cell" and it was an adaptation of that relatively obscure Sureshot (of which Chris Kirkpatrick was a member) song. When asked to share it, they conveniently "lost" the file... so take from all this what you will. In short, there's nothing credible suggesting they're the same. Just misinfo! BTR's was produced by Kevin Rudolf who has a very different style anyways - he produced "City Is Ours" and "Oh Yeah" for reference. By the way, I haven't forgotten about the rumors post you requested... it's been on the back-burner behind this stupid info post. Just wanted to let you know it's still coming!
-
Same 😭Coincidentally, one of the new infopost finds has to do with that one! Check out this Sept. 2013 interview where Kendall talked about it, saying he really liked it, and explaining a little of what it was about - "a girl who is trying to tell you something and just... isn't saying it, and you're basically saying, I'll catch you if you fall. Just say whatever you want to say." Main reason I bring it up is because, I had suspected for a while that this was the 'unknown Kendall song' snippet from last year's TikTok Live: The last line (of the chorus, no less) in the snippet sounds very close like "right on the tip of your tongue". And now with Kendall's own description of the lyrics, compared with the rest of what can be made out, I'm like 99.9999% percent sure it is! Enough to call it so... Big Time Rush - Tip of Your Tongue (LQ snippet) https://krakenfiles.com/view/J6MRBUhSdU/file.html (Once more, if any of y'all OG tumblr stans ever come across this thread, mind throwing us a bone?)
-
Pretty sure I've played it like 300 times at this point... it's just sooooo amazing You know, I'd like to remind that most of the leaks we got were songs taken from Kendall's email, that were being traded among the Twitter/Tumblr crowd at the time. So hypothetically, purely as a thought experiment, if there was a handful of songs which never surfaced and I've been banging my head for two years trying to get ahold of, perhaps Midnight Somewhere happened to be one of them... I bring this up for no reason in particular, of course. Just thought I'd point out how Kendall himself already thinks it was leaked, so if it did, he wouldn't notice or care... just saying...

Big Time Rush - Young Love (Higher quality - 320kbps) https://krakenfiles.com/view/IbBKpvql7e/file.html Had this for a while and thought it was a re-export, but now I'm not so sure. Seems better than the 224 from before (which here's an archive of that...) This one is really confusing. The nice thing about most leaks having come from Tumblr is that, even though most of the original uploaders' accounts are deactivated now, you can still find the OG posts via reblogs - Young Love has been the only song where I knew for sure I had the OG source, which linked to a 224 upload, yet somehow there seemed to be a better one floating around elsewhere. Sometimes the leaker(s) would post a Mediafire download link for the OG file, while uploading a downscaled re-export as the playable Tumblr post itself (why, I don't know...) so that might have been one explanation. But weirdly, that doesn't seem to have happened here. Maybe someone else who had the song uploaded their own file at some point? Or the download link was in the comments or something? Still no clue. I don't have the greatest audio knowledge, so being unsure of how to verify the 320 was actually better, I kind of just left it alone until remembering it recently. I'm fairly confident now, enough to upload it, but frankly, a re-analysis from someone more experienced might not hurt... (For real, does anyone mind checking it? I'd really appreciate it) Well anyhoo, happy to say I'm back to finishing the new infopost. Thank you guys again for being so patient... I said it would be ready like, two months ago. This project grew way out of control, and I finally hit a point where I needed to step away for a few weeks. Helped me realize I was getting a liiiittle ambitious with what I wanted it to be. To summarize, I knew from the start I wanted to turn the existing list into a full writing piece. But because of what that entailed, I inadvertently found myself writing an entire retrospective on BTR as a whole, which, needless to say, I did not expect at all. The more I realized the insane potential of something like that, the farther the goalposts kept moving, and I finally had to accept that it deserves way more time and care than I'll be able to give it anytime soon. Breaking that off into its own, very distant future project, and re-focusing back onto what this project is supposed to be: A list of unreleased songs rooted in a history of BTR's recording process. Not a PhD thesis (lol). By now I've learned not to give a specific deadline, since I never meet it, but I will say that the content itself is officially done, and now it's basically a matter of editing. We'll leave it at very soon.

Hi everyone. As we all know, February is home to an incredibly important day of the year. A day we all recognize as one of unabashed love, companionship, and unity: One that brings all us mentally ill Popheads together. I am of course referring to the anniversary of the most horrific assault ever unleashed upon the human eyes, for which none other than Meghan Trainor and her psychologically disturbed press team were responsible. Four years ago yesterday, an official release for Meghan Trainor’s new EP “The Love Train” was disclosed to news outlets. Similarly to 9/11, or maybe even the Covid breakouts for us younger folk, we all remember where we were the moment this utterly revolting piece of writing hit the tabloids. In an instant, people all around the world were mercilessly subjected to intimate details of Meghan’s personal life, more specifically of the “hot newlywed sex” she and her husband Daryl Sabara were hard at work engaging in. As whistleblowers revealed her perversion for “smashing bae’s junk to smithereens”, the collective progress of humanity was at once rendered pointless, sending us helplessly crying and vomiting all the way back to the Stone Age. Now if we may, I hope you will join me in reciting from the holy scripture, as we come together and honor the tragic loss of sanity preceding whoever wrote it. May their troubled souls forever rest in peace. (February 8, 2019 - Los Angeles, CA) -- Valentine's Day is around the corner, and whether you're planning on smashing bae's junk to smithereens or making out with a pint of Phish Food, you need some fresh Valentine's Day bops to get you in the mood for L♡VE. And MEGHAN TRAINOR has got you covered with her new EP, THE LOVE TRAIN [Epic Records.] You know you want it. And you can freakin' get it b*tch. On all digital platforms right HERE. Meghan's seducing your ears this V-Day, and you know she knows a thing or two about romance. Unless your phone's been broken for a hot minute, you know that Meghan just got married to the ginger from Spy Kids, and trust when we say, girl is feeling the love. She took a break from her busy schedule to record some fire tracks in Los Angeles alongside frequent collaborators and producers Andrew Wells [5SOS, Fall Out Boy, Jason Mraz], J KASH (Maroon 5, Charlie Puth, Kesha) and Tyler Johnson [Harry Styles, CAM]. We know you want to hear songs about all the hot newlywed sex Meghan and Daryl Sa-BAE-ra are having (did you see what we did there?). Which is why you'll love the banging' single "All The Ways." Billboard was wet for "All The Ways," calling it "another fun, danceable track to fall in love with." And would Billboard lie to you, girl? But perhaps the piece de resistance (that's French for "Wig Snatch") is "Marry Me," a romantic acoustic guitar and ukulele-tinged Awww Fest which delivers all the feels (and then more feels). Meghan wrote the song thirty days after meeting Daryl, and it was so good that she walked down the aisle to it. We know, it's a little bit #Vomworthy, but also, am I chopping onions right now or are those tears rolling down my face? I'm not crying, you're crying. And as always, our Grammy-Winning, Diamond Single-having QUEEN didn't just come to play -- she came to slay. She's serving vocals on the passionate, Celine Dion-esque power ballad "After You." Plus, Meghan's serving your insatiable thirst for dance-ready bops with the upbeat banger that is "Foolish." It slaps so hard you'll be stanning for days. "As if all the PDA, including foot massages, butterfly kisses and piggy back rides aren't cringe worthy enough," says her brother and videographer Ryan... "I've got to film it all!" Choo choo betch! The Love Train is leaving the station and you better get on board. Be on the lookout for more surprises very soon as she prepares for a landmark 2019. https://www.papermag.com/amp/meghan-trainor-horny-2629073478?__twitter_impression=true

Disney Announce Toy Story 5, Frozen 3, Zootopia 2
Kipper replied to Main Pop Girl's topic in Lounge Room
Can't wait for the long-awaited final Toy Story movie! (for real this time) [for real this time] Seriously, I'm a huge Pixar stan but come on, what would it even be about Unless it's a prequel or origin movie or something but they literally just did that so why. The others are welcome, though, Zootopia was fun and don't mind Frozen either. But sorry Disney, if you'll excuse me I'm back to counting days until the Mario movie is out -
That's actually because they were bonus tracks! Initially, you could only have gotten them if you pre-ordered the album on iTunes before it released. Thankfully, though, they came out later on other country's versions (for example, This Is Our Someday on the International edition and Stuck on the UK edition). So I think the tracklist above left them off just because it was talking about the standard US version with 11 songs.
-
When Big Time Rush's debut album BTR was first reported by media outlets, the tracklist was a little different from the final: https://tommy2.net/content/?p=18887 Mindblowing, I know 🤯 Halfway There, City Is Ours, and Worldwide were just ordered slightly differently lol. But also, Boyfriend was said to feature New Boyz, which the final album ended up including the solo version instead, with the New Boyz feature not coming out until a few months later. However, here's something interesting: In an interview after this announcement (but still before the album was out), the boys were asked what their favorite song on it was, and Kendall said "Paralyzed", which wasn't on it at all. So was he just being an edgelord and intentionally saying one that wasn't on the album, or could there have been another early tracklist that included Paralyzed?

LOONA Set To Break Up, Fans Boycott Their Record Label

My way of life as of recent is pretty much: Hear a 9muses song -> declare it the best song of all time -> listen to it 50 times a day for a week -> hear a different 9muses song -> rinse and repeat

Big Time Rush - Can’t Get Enough (snippet) https://www.tiktok.com/@bigtimerush/video/7192624936114982186 Posted on their TikTok as well as their app today. Looking like the next single! James implied it’ll be out in the next couple of weeks. Also, it’s probably not related to the 24/seven cut with the same title. I was hella confused when I first saw the hashtag earlier… thought hell froze over and we actually got a BTR leak ❗Edit: For anyone who hasn't seen, the guys are currently in the midst of another writing camp... apparently because they "have an album to finish"! This surprised me because it's seemed like the plan was to put out the Spanglish EP very soon, with an English EP later this year - this is the first time they've even mentioned an album! Not sure what's coming when but there's a lot on the horizon!! ‼️Edit 2: Coming out next Monday, Feb. 6! Here's another snippet from the Twitter announcement:

Brendon Urie Says Panic! At the Disco is "No More"
Kipper replied to Kipper's topic in Entertainment News
Well said! Brendon's voice and Ryan Ross' killer songwriting coming together was really lightning in a bottle. Really unfortunate it was so short-lived Fever is just iconic! -
You are too kind, seriously... Sometimes I struggle to think highly of myself, but this is one rare case where I've been able to own it and say that I've been slaying this! It's not even done yet but I'm insanely proud of what I'm making and can't wait to finally share it with you all. If you're even remotely interested with BTR this is gonna be a must-read!
-
https://www.instagram.com/p/CnzNF9ouOUp/ This morning, Brendon Urie announced that Panic! At the Disco is officially disbanding. He and his wife Sarah are expecting a child and he wants to dedicate his time to being a father. There's a lot of buzz about how a "split" seems strange when Brendon has been the sole member since 2016's Death of a Bachelor, and was the only remaining original member even before that. Even so, I personally get the vibe that he might be done with music entirely? It's hard to see how a hypothetical solo career would be any different when... it already exists, and you have to wonder if re-branding would be worth the effort. Regardless, the dude's had a rough few years (a quick search brings up some recent not-so-pretty allegations), so it's possible that might have been a factor. The last few Panic! albums have not always been my cup of tea, but I've been a close fan since my 2013 middle school emo phase, and the news definitely comes with its fair share of sadness. How do you feel about it?
-
Not sure if this is a hot take because it's kinda already happening, but I really think AI is gonna shake up our culture a LOT over the next few years. Between this and generated images it's going to be so much easier to impersonate people and spread misinfo (which is already easier than ever). As @TwinklingTears said it's cool af watching it take off so greatly but also scary to think about the long-term implications...
-
The IDs mentioned refer to their various PRO registries (in databases like ASCAP, SGAE, GEMA, etc.). Those help give a rough idea of when they were written, especially when corroborated with other sources, but it's difficult to go off them alone. Songs aren't always registered, much less the day or even around the time they're written, etc. One day I'd like to publish a Google doc or something that lists each song by recording date, with detailed explanations and such, though. I already do that in my notes but they're so messy that it's going to take a long time to make them presentable. Speaking of which, I know this is like the fifth time now, but this "infopost" I keep yapping about still isn't ready, and at this point it'll just have to be done when it's done, I guess. I use quotations calling it that because really, it's morphed into something FAR beyond what I ever expected it to, and it's become apparent that I really need to make sure I get certain things right before I feel comfortable publishing it. You'll understand whenever you finally get to read it😅It's nuts. I'm honestly burned out from all the time sunk these last few weeks, and I need a short break before I can grind it to the finish line. Hope you guys understand. Thanks!
