Sky, Skye & Skylar To Form a Girl Group!

Skylar Grey, Sky Ferreira and Skye Sweetnam

Great news today! Former flops Sky Ferreira, Skye Sweetnam and Skylar Grey are banding their flop powers together to form one, ultimate supergroup!

Skyelar, the new project from the girl’s, is set to debut their new single later next week! ‘Sky’s The Limit’ is promised to be a club banger with elements of acoustic rock, bubblegum pop and electro-pop to match each of the girl’s personalities. Produced by Dr. Luke, the song features an anthemic, catchy chorus of “The sky’s the limit/We’re in it to win it/We won’t let them bin it,” in reference to their debut album. Due for release later in 2013, the album is so far untitled but producers such as Darkchild, RedOne and Bloodshy & Avant have already been crafting tracks for the project.

Meanwhile, there seems to be trouble in paradise. British crooner Neon Hitch is reportedly furious at being left out of the group. An eyewitness overheard the singer claiming that there were plans for a quartet called ‘Skyelaritch’, which fell through due to her rivalry with Sky Ferreira. Hitch claims that Sky was “trying to act like a boss bitch” and “hogging the spotlight”, never allowing the other girl’s a chance to shine. Making matters worse, Ferreira Tweeted out on Wednesday that “Some people should know their place(a caravan park)” and that “I was always meant 2 be the lead singer.”

What do you think of the news? Will these girls finally earn a well-deserved hit or will the evil Neon Hitch stand in their way? Let us know over at the forums!
