Greg Kurstin is seriously one of my favorite pop producers of all time. In my opinion he’s in the same league as absolutely legends like Max Martin, I know when I see his name in the writing/production credits of a song I’m about to be blown away. He deserves his flowers, he’s so underrated in the pop community.

She definitely added a few bells and whistles, but yeah overall it’s the same. The real question is, what is it with Bonnie not giving us release dates for anything 😑

This one still hurts

Since we have confirmation that Forever 21 is the next single, I really hope she drops the album pre-save/order along with the single release. It’s arguably the most “famous” of the Epic era songs, and I think that there will be significant hype around its release. If she just releases the song and music video and then disappears again… it’s over.

I know I’ve said this before, but my frustration with Bonnie really stems from her lack of communication. I’m sure a lot of us would feel a lot more comfortable if she would just tell us what the hold up is. If the rumors about her having a distribution deal are true and that’s causing delays, that’s okay. It’s great actually, because that means we may actually get physical copies of the album rather than everything being digital. But just TELL us. It’s frustrating because there was so much hype in the beginning with the release of SLAY and Hot City, and now she squandered it all and it feels like we’re back at square one with her.

I’ve pretty much given up on this album being released. If it is, great. If not, we have most of the demos and final mixes so it really doesn’t matter anyways.

This one isn’t as egregious as some of the ones in the OP, but at 2:25 on Britney’s Hold It Against Me she goes “oww” and Dr. Luke reused that in SO many of her songs. For example, he reuses it on Ooh La La at around 2:56 and it just… drives me absolutely insane. He must really like that vocal bit 💀 There’s other songs he reused it in too but they’re escaping me right now.

So… we’re getting a 90 second long music video? 💀 Really hoping she decided to flesh out the song, but I know it’s wishful thinking.

How are we feeling about the updated production? I’m kinda bopping but at the same time I think I like the demo production more. Maybe I just need to listen to it a few more times.

DGMGF has always had a ton of potential so I’m excited for this. I just hope she turned it into a full length song with a proper second verse and bridge. The production could use some work too but I’m liking what I hear from the TikTok snippet.
