  1. Only 3 more months and the wait will finally be over. By the way, am I the only one here also excited for the album Bonnie promised to release after Hot City?
  2. Lifetime is airing a new 2-part documentary, "Where Is Wendy Williams?", on February 24-25. The film is expected to clarify what's going on with the TV star, which has been off the air since 2021 and left millions of fans around the world worried for her health and safety. Watch the trailer below. Considering the documentary is executive produced by Wendy herself, should this be a sign that everything is well with our queen, and that a definitive comeback can be expected after this event? Or will it leave us devastated by bringing us the news that the iconic host's health condition will prevent us gays from ever having her back gracing our screens with her messy opinions?
  3. Please go watch her latest TikTok / Instagram Reels videos. She needs to get to 3,000 pre-saves by tomorrow. Considering how many of us here bullied her into releasing the album, the least we can do is support her - though I wish she would have explained this sooner to us so we could have prepared better. Bonnie has loyal fans here that she can reach out in private and be more open about the business side of things and that can mobilize others to help her get the numbers she needs. We love these songs and want Bonnie to get the success she deserves. But we're not organized.
  4. I wasn't expecting Don't Get Mad Get Famous to be on the album, didn't she say once on her TikTok comments that she never finished writing the lyrics for the song, and was even surprised fans were asking for it? Or am I confusing it for something else?
  5. As much as I wanted it already, I think it makes sense to release the album next year. In this day and age, for an artist like Bonnie, she has to release all the potential hits as singles before putting the full album out. Only the singles get decent exposure on streaming, the rest of the tracks will be listened only by the people who are really into her. This album has too many potential hits that shouldn't get wasted like that.
  6. In its first 5 days of release, Hot City had 20% more streams than SLAY on Spotify at the same point. I hope Bonnie is pleased with the numbers and continues with the release plans for the album so she can keep the momentum going, and follow it up with her new songs next year.
  7. It debuted slightly better than SLAY on Spotify (14.744 streams vs 12.849), and that one already performed better than almost everything she released after the Bombastic EP.
  8. I couldn't watch her Instagram live, because it was way too late at night for me. Did she provide any new information about the album? Also, did you guys notice Hot City was released under the Snafu Records label, instead of "Bonnie McKee Music" like her previous solo singles?
  9. Spotify update 07/13 - 171.754 (+21.063)
  10. It's surging every day now. I don't know what's going on, but I hope it keeps the momentum. 07/12 - 150.691 (+18.612)
  11. SLAY continues to rise and had its second best day yesterday 07/10 - 116.886 (+13.250) Keep streaming
  12. SLAY passed 100,000 streams today on Spotify. It also has increased pace for the last 3 days. Does anyone know if it was added to another Spotify playlist? Spotify updates 06/29 - 12.849 06/30 - 24.574 (+11.725) 07/01 - 37.931 (+13.357) 07/02 - 47.228 (+9.297) 07/03 - 53.993 (+6.764) 07/04 - 61.020 (+7.028) 07/05 - 67.795 (+6.775) 07/06 - 74.416 (+6.621) 07/07 - 84.180 (+9.764) 07/08 - 92.792 (+8.612) 07/09 - 103.636 (+10.844) By the way, I made a test and Spotify does count when you stream a song more than 10 times a day, even if it's on repeat, and even if your compute is on mute. Those streams still count for a song's total number of streams.
  13. Spotify updates 06/29 - 12.849 06/30 - 24.574 (+11.725) 07/01 - 37.931 (+13.357)
  14. Spotify didn't put SLAY on the New Music Friday playlist
  15. It's #13 on iTunes Brazil, I know it doesn't mean anything, but would be cool to give a #1 for Bonnie to celebrate. Let's make it happen guys 13 NEW Bonnie McKee - SLAY Brazil iTunes Top Songs (kworb.net)
  16. It's been believed that Spotify only counts 10 streams per day from each account, but I think that's only for their charts. I think if you let it playing all day it still counts to the song's overall number of streams and Bonnie gets paid for all of them. I'll let it playing all day on Spotify, Youtube Music and Apple Music (which I just got one month free). Also bought it on iTunes.
  17. This is not stealing and it has become an annoying criticism of JLo that has dominated Twitter, especially after the incredible turn she had on her career after the Hustlers film, the Super Bowl performance and her acclaimed It's My Party tour. People are jealous that she's becoming more respected as an artist and are looking for a reason to hate on her. The use of uncredited vocals was nothing new by the time she started her music career. I can think of the 1985 Diana Ross album Eaten Alive, which has noticeable, uncredited vocals by Michael Jackson and Bee Gees all over the record. This was just a stylistic choice, nothing shady at all. People have turned Ashanti into a victim when in reality she is friends with JLo and has defended her from these attacks.
  18. Bebe Rexha talks about Bonnie in this interview promoting her new album (starts at the 52:35 minute): "I feel like she's underrated too, she's a beast. More people need to know who Bonnie McKee is."
  19. I don't believe her and I won't get my hopes up, but if she releases it, I sure will be supporting her and will force all my friends to listen to it.
  20. I loved this.
  21. Did Bonnie give up on her TikTok career as well? She only posted 1 video in the last 3 months. And that was quick after her most viral video there, with almost 5 million views last September. Could we delude ourselves into thinking she's taking some time off to better plan a series of TikTok posts to promote and lead up to the release of the album this summer?
  22. I'm feeling pretty happy right now in my country (Brazil). I know life is hard here for a lot of LGBTQ people, especially trans women, and that I'm incredibly privileged to be a white cis man, who also comes from a relatively wealthy family. My life has always been easy, but since 2016 I've been feeling depressed and anxious about politics and how it affects life for other people. It all changed with last year's presidential election. I know the conservative threat will always exist, and that they might eventually return to power, but right now it's a relief to have Lula as our president again. I feel like I can enjoy my life and be happy knowing that we're on the path for progress again. We have a lot of problems in our country that are unlikely to be solved in my lifetime but overall I really like living in Brazil, I wouldn't move anywhere else, and recently I found out that I also enjoy my hometown and the simple life here. I tried living in the big city, going out at night, dreaming of getting famous, but that's an overrated lifestyle. I recently learned to finally love myself and enjoy the company of my family and childhood friends.
  23. I didn't know that. I thought it was an obscure song from her discography and that I was the only one who loved it
  24. She actually signed the contract in 2020 if I remember correctly. She was signed to the local Warner label for her brazilian records, and then in 2020 signed this contract with the American label to launch her career in the U.S. But her rant makes no sense because they poured a lot of money and promotion into her cancelled Girl From Rio album (later re-worked as Versions Of Me). They released at least 8 singles leading up to the album, paid for a lot of high profile featured artists like Cardi B, DaBaby, Missy Elliott, Khalid and Saweetie, put her in several high profile movie soundtracks like Fast 9 and Sing 2, not to mention putting her in studio with in-demand producers and songwriters, and plenty of television appearances. She has no right to claim Warner didn't promote her shitty music. She's doing this for attention because her career in the U.S. flopped miserably (thanks to her lack of talent, originality and personality) and now Warner won't waste another fortune in her career, so she's desperate...
