Ryn Weaver Calls Katy Perry a 'Bully'

Another day, another Twitter beef between one of the world's biggest popstars and one of our flops.

Ryn Weaver, best known for her single 'OctaHate', which hit an impressive #103 on the Billboard Hot 100, took to Twitter today to launch a series of accusations against fellow popstar Katy Perry, who she claims was a "bully" to her during a social gathering between friends last year.

The beef was started after Perry posted a public endorsement of presidential hopeful Hilary Clinton on her Twitter to promote a concert which she, Elton John and up-and-comer Andra Day would be performing at for the Human Rights Campaign. As if she'd been waiting months for the opportune moment, Weaver jumped on the chance to attack Perry by posting a now-deleted response to her Tweet.

    Quote

LOLOLOL SORRY NOT SORRY OLEASE OPEN UR EYES.. THIS TWEET IS IGNORANT IF NOT FUNDED BYE. No offense @katyperry but considering how much of a bully you were to me.. I hope u don't mind my mindful disagreement w ur $$ endorsement.

After being pressed by fans to reveal the source of her discontentment with the popstar, Weaver went on to explain the start of her dislike, which allegedly began after Perry made some petty remarks about Weaver's presence at a Drake concert.

    Quote

if u must know.. She came up to me and my friends.. Knowing I played.. After we were friends.. Then stared at me the whole time. she spoke to my friend waiting for me to speak... Anytime I spoke she started turning her head around pretending she heard something... Then said "dos u hear something?" While staring at me.. Anytime I spoke.. After we were already friends.. Did this the entire night... Then came w us to drake and stared at me the WHOLE SHOW.. Then any time I caught her eye out of my periphery she proceeded to alert her entire posse saying " that ryn weaver girl is soooo obsessed with me" loud enough for my entire group of friends to hear... While talking why the WHOLE NIGHT loud enough for me to hear.. After pretending I didn't even exist.

As is common in such Twitter beefs, however, Weaver later went on to delete the tirade, blaming Perry's fanbase for her defensive actions.

It's always a bad idea to mix political and personal views, and given that Perry was simply expressing her preference for a certain candidate we hardly see how this was the right place or time for Weaver to address her private concerns with the popstar. Given how much of an unknown Weaver is, we're also not sure that talking about this kind of thing on Twitter is a good move for her career. She's already faced the wrath of Perry stans: who knows what will come next? We may just have another Azealia Banks in the making.

What do you think of Weaver's accusations against Perry? Can you imagine the singer saying such things, or is Weaver simply attempting to drum up some hype for her so far lacklustre career? Let us know in the comments section below!

I mean you can hate Katy for comparing herself to Anne Frank but this? It's just like high school, she doesn't like you, get over it.

Right tho? Like, I get her wanting to expose her, but retweeting a post about Hilary Clinton of all people (who is meant to be an icon of female empowerment) and using that as a starting point for a drag is not cute imo.
