Main Pop Girl Posted Thursday at 08:30 AM Posted Thursday at 08:30 AM Quote The jury’s verdict in the trial against Sean “P Diddy” Combs has been revealed. The music mogul faced five charges including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution. After three days of deliberation, the jury found Diddy guilty on two counts relating to prostitution but not guilty on the count of racketeering and not guilty on two counts of sex trafficking. The not guilty verdicts mean Combs has avoided a sentence of 15-years to life in prison. But, what does his remaining guilty charge mean for potential jail time? While the verdict against Sean Diddy Combs has been delivered, his sentencing by Judge Arun Subramanian who oversaw the trial, still remains. The U.S. District Judge will make the final deliberation on Diddy’s sentence relating to the two guilty counts for transportation to engage in prostitution. We’re yet to learn if or how much jail time Diddy will face for the two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. According to the United States Sentencing Commission, the charge has a 10-year maximum penalty. With Combs facing two counts, he could face up to 20-years behind bars. Per ABC, during the trial the prosecution argued for a sentence between four to five years for the crime, while defense attorney’s for Combs argued a sentence of roughly two years would fit the guidelines of the law. Diddy has already spent nine months behind bars, that time of which would count towards his final sentence. P Diddy was denied bail by the judge following his guilty conviction on the two counts. Comb’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, argued for the rapper to be released on bail, saying: “He should be released on appropriate conditions. … He should be able to return to his home.” However his bail request was denied with the prosecution arguing Combs posed a flight risk. Cassie Ventura, Combs’ ex who testified against him in the trial also penned a letter pleading for his bail to be refused. The letter stated that Diddy “is likely to pose a danger to the victims who testified in this case, including herself, as well as to the community.” Kinda shocked that they only got two of these charges to stick given how big this case seemed to be...On the other hand, it's crazy how quickly this case started and ended and I wonder if they were rushing so fast to take advantage of the media hype that they didn't take the time to build a strong case. Either way, I'm glad he's going to jail for at least SOMETHING 1 Quote

CUNTISSIMO Posted yesterday at 07:43 PM Posted yesterday at 07:43 PM Disgusting; he should have been guilty on all five charges. 6 hours ago, napoleon said: This verdict is a disgrace, and now I hope you all understand what happened to Amber Heard. 1 Quote

Don’t drag Amber Heard into this. Her story was full of holes, and it was very clear she lied. Johnny Depp is the only innocent one out of all of these prolific cases. 1 Quote

Amber Heard lost all my respect when I learned about her assault charges towards her ex-wife. She's not the innocent victim you're trying to paint her as (which also is not to say that Johnny Depp was innocent) 2 Quote

Still, there's no excuse for a woman being beaten and raped by a man. She can be an awful person, she still doesn't deserve to be a victim of domestic violence. This is why these men continue to win in jury trials, because it's so easy to make people hate on a woman. Most people think that a female victim needs to be this angelical, innocent figure to be believed. The moment you start showing her flaws and her mistakes, people turn on her. There's undeniable evidence that Johnny Depp abused Amber Heard. It doesn't matter which mistakes she's made, whatever lies she's told, or if she started hitting him back. All she did was file for divorce and then suddenly she started getting harrassed, was dragged to court, and had her entire private life exposed and ridiculed on social media. It's disturbing to me that there's still people defending what happened to her, though it's mostly people from the United States, so not entirely surprising... Quote

The police officer who witnessed the crime happening denied these claims of homophobia from Amber's team by responding that she is gay I find it weird you would oppose an instance when domestic violence is actually responded to and charged appropriately when your whole point is that that's something that happens too rarely. There's no excuse for a person beating another person, period. I really don't give a fuck if it's Amber abusing her wife, Amber abusing her husband or her husband abusing her (all of which I'm sure happened). Judging by her choice of partner (jumping from Johnny Depp to the abhorrent Musk Rat himself) I find it hard to feel sorry for her and think she's kinda laying her own bed at this point. I also think that the obliteration of her career was justified and was equal to the obliteration that Johnny Depp's own career received. Either way, I feel weird caring this much about a celebrity's personal life and making judgement calls about people I've never met. If we're gonna talk about domestic violence in pop culture more generally, a better case to worry about would be Chris Brown who is somehow still selling out tours in the UK. Afaik, Rihanna has never been accused by any partner of being abusive and I don't think ANYONE could make a claim that her abuse was deserved or mutual 1 Quote

And I, for one, believe Johnny Depp was a victim of domestic abuse by Amber Heard, who sold her shit to TMZ, pledges her donations to charities (and never fulfilled them), and then tries to play victim in court. I will never defend that abusive trash (Heard) ever. EVER. She is as vile as they come. 1 Quote
