ast0n-mart1n Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Hey guys. I'm new here... what are the chances of this 50 GB file becoming available? Because I'm really dying to hear the version of Shot in the Dark with the Big Time Terror mix. Or Curt Hansen's version of the theme song. The full Backstage Rush theme song, and of course other demos we don't know exist. Good evening everyone. Quote
Micro-Com10 Posted September 21 Posted September 21 I tried downloading the rar file but it’s too big, and also don’t know the chances? also I’m the one who gave the the link on page (between 11-14?) Quote

In the meantime I'd recommend finding another interest and checking back after a month or two. 1 Quote

Source over below- Yeah, I did a deep dive on this one a couple years ago. That person just took the links and cut out the middleman. Technically that's not (inherently) the session date, but Kendall is on it, and the final lineup only started work in August - not much room for error. July 2010 date is just when the file itself was uploaded and/or moved into its current folder. The season two songlist is dated 7-19-2010 so presumably it got moved during the construction of that. Worth noting, registration codes have always pointed to it being one of the first. I had it and "Young Love" as 2011 songs because of the Jedward ordeal and metadata of the latter - both of which we now know were earlier. Apologies for getting them wrong, I could never find much about either. By iTunes build do you mean the version release date? Definitely notable - only concern is it might not necessarily mean the person exporting is always up-to-date. Honestly I don't know how it worked back then, and consequently, how likely your average geezer producer would have been on top of it. Would probably come down to whether auto-update was the default. That all said, I'm still in agreement that song was probably among the first, which would place it around the mentioned date anyhow. Edited September 24 by Kipper Quote

Aye, another detail is a lot of sessions are from September, and the build would at least match the month. On top of that, the tracks they recorded in September do sound pretty familiar in terms of beat style, mostly ballads. I know that iTunes had the annoying pop up for you to manually update, but whether the producers would do so isn’t easily confirmed, though the mid 2010 tracks also match their June/July iTunes version releases so. Micro-Com10 Posted Friday at 04:25 AM Posted Friday at 04:25 AM I though the song “Like Nobody’s Around was recorded in November 2012,” but then checked the metadata is see this-“nobodys around EDIT 3 1412.mp3“ Was it either recorded in November or March? [Despite the fact that I’ve told you it might not be accurate] Quote

Love Me Again has a whole different sound to it and then got updated later. Quote
Kipper Posted Friday at 05:43 PM Author Posted Friday at 05:43 PM (edited) I think Matt Squire just typo'd 12 instead of 13. "Change for You" has a similar case: If taken as are, they don't match up with other info, namely Martin's demo of the latter with a mid-2012 stamp and a session tweet that correlates. Both are notably the first days of January -- anyone who has to handwrite dates knows the new-year struggle, haha. I'm willing to bet that's all it was. Ironically, James and Carlos did in fact have a writing session with Martin in January 2012, however I don't think it was for that song due to different credits.
