A clearly thrilled Brown posted this tweet some hours follow his release: Humbled and Blessed Brown had been in custody since mid-March, after he was dismissed from a Malibu facility where he was receiving treatment for anger management, substance abuse and issues related to bipolar disorder. He subsequently admitted a probation violation over an altercation last year outside a Washington, D.C. hotel. Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin had initially sentenced Brown to serve a year in county jail, but gave him credit for nearly eight months of time served in jail and rehab.
