Maybe they wrote it with her? The songwriter credits on it are to Jess, Lisa, Toby Gad, and Susan Cagle. It looks like "Susan Cagle" is her, and Susan Justice is a stage name. maybe Toby Gad works with her too and he brought them together to collaborate on this???

oh man I wanted to say "yes" right away, but now that I'm thinking about it, I can't say I've ever heard a live version of it... not finding any on youtube, either. Reading off the self-titled tracklist the ones I know they've done live are Sanctified, Did You Miss Me, Cruel, Line Of Fire, Teenage Millionaire, Always, Mad Love, You Ruin Me, If You Love Someone, Cold, Let Me Out, and You And Me. which just leaves out Born Bob Dylan and More Like Me... weird, esp. since I know they really fought for Born Bob Dylan since it was under Warner and they had to buy it back. even that one they apparently did during a sound check one night. so weird that they've never done More Like Me, it's one of my faves too! and considering the HMU songs they didn't do live were the really overly electronic or floaty ones (I Can't Stay Away, I Don't Wanna Wait, Someone Wake Me Up) I don't know why they didn't do More Like Me live, and now I'm super curious haha

I mean all the other shows they've done they say they love when people record it so that international fans/fans who couldn't make it to the show get to hear the music... it's usually just venue security that tries to stop recording (which happened at a lot of RIS tour stops, but people managed to record back then anyway) but someone recorded the whole songs of 4Ever and Untouched, and most of IYLS and This Love, so I don't think the venue was stopping anyone and I'm like 99% sure the girls know/are friends with the SandyMaree girl that tweeted a clip of Best Friend, so she wouldn't post it if the girls said not to

I'd always assumed not long before the t.A.T.u. version. never realised the t.A.T.u. came out a full month before TSLO!! but yeah, I'd assume not long, probably the same year, because it was still fresh enough in their minds for them to sing in 2005 bts videos, and Jess has said she wrote songs with the "4 or 5 chords" she knew, and Cry was one of those songs, and that's the song that got them signed to Warner, and All About Us doesn't sound like it'd fit under that umbrella. so 2004 or 2005!!

I feel like it was earlier than that that their voices got really really good? but they've really gotten to showcase it more in the past few years. like their voices sounded younger and not as mature in TSLO era and there weren't many songs (outside of Heavily Broken) where they could really belt anything out like they do now. I never got to go to any TSLO shows (because I was young af just sitting at my computer listening to them, lmao) but I saw them HMU era and their voices blew me tf away... especially Lisa singing Heavily Broken in 2009 but I can like def tell the difference from TSLO to HMU to LOM to self titled, I just feel likey started to get super fucking good in HMU and kept going uphill onwards yesssss I loooove Michael Paynter I listen to his EP all the damn time, and his live version of Novocaine with the girls??? oh my godddddd I must've listened to that a thousand times omg - but I love their voices wayyy too much together, like I get they did backup for him on Love The Fall but I really really want him to return the favour but like with a shitton of harmonization instead of someone's voice fading into the background like the girls' did on Love The Fall. def don't want him to be "only" backup singer tho, love him

Not the official ones. There was a karaoke CD/DVD that had instrumentals of Hook Me Up, Untouched, This Love, and Take Me On The Floor, but they were slightly different than the tracks on the Hook Me Up CD (so no making studio quality acapellas with them). There's a studio quality vocal to Untouched public, but no official instrumentals leaked.
