Given Bonnie's sobriety journey and Demi's turbulent few years, coupled with her "California sober" approach, it wouldn't surprise me if Demi and Bonnie didn't vibe super well, especially if studio sessions were raucous. Demi was probably just difficult to work with in general if she was using as much as she said she was. Maybe that's changed now that she's on more even ground. An arena-rock duet would be pretty sick from them.

Has F21 really leaked? Seems like people have heard it but all the usual spots show nothing…

I was on a run when my biggest brain thoughts come to me and I thought I cracked the release strategy. I know it’s not happening given one of her TikTok comments I just saw in one of the screen grabs above, but hear me out: I imagine every year, Bonnie gets a spike in visits and hits to her artist pages on Spotify and iTunes on the 4th of July because of American Girl. What if she titled the Epic album American Girl and surprise released it on July 4th to take advantage of the increased visibility of her pages. Whether they realize or not, people will probably add the album to their library when looking for the song. It could be one of the best organic ways for her to release new music and get it in front of as many eyes as possible. Now I know someone asked if American Girl would be on the Epic album and she said probably not due to rights issues, but she could have a remix or series of remixes (I know, I know). Anywho given this probably isn’t what’s happening, I’m curious if you guys think that would’ve been a good strategy or not?

So what’s the truth of the breakdown at Epic? I’ve heard rumors that LA Reid was unhappy with American Girl’s performance and scrapped the project but I’ve never gotten the full story? Was hoping Bonnie would’ve written a memoir or pitched a pilot telling her story by now….but who am I kidding? I’ve always been curious because it seems strange to scrap a near-finished album with multiple videos shot because the lead single didn’t go Top 20. It feels like 2013-2014 was the tail end of that era where chart performance dictated everything. So what do we know?

I think art is completely different and when dealing with artists - even if it is just silly pop music at the end of the day - you're kind of at the whim of the creator. I'm sure she's aware her potential as pop's it girl has come and gone. If you're older than 21, the clock is ticking. She'd probably rather take her time, develop music videos how she wants and only release when it's ready. She's talked about how Bombastic continues to get synced for movie and tv trailers to this day. That little indie EP continues to pay the bills for her. Even Bad Girls Go To Heaven ended up in a Charlie's Angels trailer. I don't know why she doesn't see that success as proof of her ability and reason to have a more constant output, but she seems incredibly protective of her work. You can't really fault her for it, as frustrating as it can be.

I mean if you look at some of the fileshare sites, it says like "70 downloads" for some of these songs. We're a small, rabid group of individuals that will support either way. Hopefully she sees the impact of these leaks is very minimal and doesn't let that prevent her from releasing. It's gotta suck but Charli is close to her first UK #1 Album and her shit leaks when she hits export on Ableton Live.
