In another entry into "news that won't shock anyone", controversial R&B singer Chris Brown has been listed by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department as a suspect in an assault and theft case that occured Saturday morning at the Palms Casino.

The incident allegedly began at 10:20 on Saturday morning, when police were called to respond to a report of battery that occured inside a Palms Casino hotel room. When police arrived to investigate, they found a female victim with minor injuries.

Police confirmed that the victim was attending a party inside a hotel room at the Palms when an altercation took place over a cell phone. According to the victim, she was attempting to use her phone to take a photograph of Brown when he took it from her and assaulted her. The victim was then escorted from the room by private security, before being ejected from the property by hotel security. When she returned to the hotel, she reported the incident to security, who later attempted to contact Brown but were unable to enter the room and later found that Brown had already left the hotel.

Through a representative, Brown said that the "[victim's] statements are unequivocally untrue" and that the victim was removed from the party due to her "disruptive and out of control" behaviour. "Her claim that she had her phone in her possession inside the after party and was able to take a photo causing an altercation with Chris Brown is a complete fabrication," said the representative, seemingly implying that mobile phones were not allowed in the afterparty at all. "This seems like a clear case of retaliation for her bruised ego."

Brown is in Las Vegas for the New Year's weekend and performed Jan. 1 at Drai's Beach and Nightclub. If proven to be true, this assault will be the latest in a long line of crimes, some of which include throwing a chair through a window, starting a bottle throwing competition with Drake, and, you know, beating up Rihanna.

Ever since Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth met on the set of dramatic romance film The Last Song in 2009, back when she still had long brown hair and he had enough money to buy a razor, their love at first sight relationship set teenage hearts ablaze all across the world as they followed in Brangelina's footsteps to become Hollywood's new young power couple. But their relationshp was cut short when, despite a proposal in 2012, the pair decided to go their seperate ways in late 2013.

But if new reports are to be believed, the two may be making a comeback after they were spotted together on one of the biggest nights of the year, New Years Eve. Photographs were taken of the two at the Australian Falls Music Festival in Hemsworth's hometown of Sydney, along with Chris and Luke Hemsworth and their respective wives. According to sources, the two were seen "cuddling and kissing" and Liam was spotted rubbing his beau's back in a VIP area as they watched the show. Security surrounded the couple to ensure people did not photograph them, but a few sneaky Instagram snaps did manage to be taken.

Cyrus and Hemsworth made their last public appearance in August, 2013, when she turned up to support him on the Paranoia red carpet, just weeks after taking her ring off to be "cleaned". Since then, neither have been saving themselves for marriage, with Hemsworth rebounding with Spanish singer and actress Eiza González and Cyrus (who last year came out as pansexual) seen with the likes of Patrick Schwarznegger and Victoria's Secret model Stella Maxwell.

This isn't the first time the two have been seen continuing their relationship. Last year, Hemsworth stated that he would always be "best friends" with his ex, and Cyrus later got an Instagram shoutout for helping him adopt a dog. If the two really are back together, it could mark a return to innocence for Cyrus, who recently debuted a more mature, classic hairstyle.

The singer born as Kesha Sebert has had many monikers over her short but prolific career. Debuting under her birth name at school talent shows at only age thirteen, the popstar moved to LA at age eighteen and ditched her mother's last name, adding a dollar sign to her first in a satirical take on how little money she was making at the time. Debuting in 2009 with her breakthrough hit 'TiK ToK', the artist became best known to most people as Ke$ha; before deciding in 2014 that she would replace the dollar sign with a boring old "s" to represent a new maturity in her sound. Now, the singer has taken on yet another new moniker: as lead singer of new band Yeast Infection.

Debuting on stage just two nights before Christmas (as one of the best presents Animals could ask for!), Yeast Infection let Kesha return to her Nashville roots when they rocked the stage at the Springwater Lounge gig. In the secret, invitation-only event (apparently there was less than one hundred people in the building), Kesha and her boys performed a selection of her past songs in psychadelic rock form including 'We R Who We R', 'Blow' and a solo rockabilly version of her Pitbull-assisted single 'Timber'. They also performed a rare cover of Led Zepellin's classic 'Whole Lotta Love'. Imagine Kesha's vocals on that track!

But we didn't have any real footage from the event until today, when Kesha posted an Instagram video of her performing 'Blow'. The other members of the band were later identified as guitarist Richie Kirkpatrick, producer Skylar Wilson, Robbie Crowell and Kesha’s touring drummer Elias Mallin.

Kesha's music career has taken a back seat lately due to her extensive and prolonged legal battle with producer, manager, and labelhead Dr. Luke. While the live show must have been a triumph for the long-suffering artist, it's possible that there's an alterior motive to her sudden formation of a band. While Kesha is signed to Luke's Kenosabe label, Yeast Infection has no legal obligations to any organization, meaning it could be entirely legal for the band to release their very own album, single or mixtape in the near future with no ramifications. As such, the band could be a pretty clever guise to let Kesha's fans hear what she's been up to without breaking any laws.

British sweetheart and current The X Factor UK co-winner Rita Ora declared war against her label this week when she filed a lawsuit against Jay-Z's Roc Nation imprint, using California's infamous "seven year rule" as basis for her action.

In a suit filed on Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Ora claimed that she is seeking to nullify a contract she made in 2008, claiming that the contract violates California law and is thus unenforceable. According to Ora's legal team, the singer believes that she has been "orphaned" from Roc Nation ever since Jay-Z expanded the company to encompass ventures such as sports management, music streaming, and other endeavours, claiming that as a result Roc Nation is a "diminished" label with "only a handful of admittedly worthy heritage superstar artists" on board.

"When Rita signed, Roc Nation and its senior executives were very involved with her as an artist," states the complaint. "As Roc Nation's interests diversified, there were fewer resources available and the company suffered a revolving door of executives. Rita's remaining supporters at the label left or moved on to other activities, to the point where she no longer had a relationship with anyone at the company."

To make matters worse, Rita has apparently been stuck in limbo ever since 2013, when the record label switched its distribution partner from Sony to Universal. According to the lawsuit, Rita was left behind at Universal, caught in the crossfire between two major labels, neither of whom had any financial incentive to support her.

Ora is now relying on California's Labor Code §2855, the Seven Year Rule, which was established in 1944 when actress Olivia De Haviland sued Warner Bros. Studio. after they continually extended her contract even while suspending her for not accepting the roles they were suggesting for her. Back then, the California Court of Appeal ruled that De Haviland could not be subject to a contract for more than seven years, setting a precedent that would help to bring down the studio system. Since then, the law has transferred over to music, with artists like Courtney Love invoking the seven year rule only to see labels counter-suing to claim that promised albums had not been made. In this case, however, Ora is claiming that she has proof that she's created multiple records for release.

The lawsuit certainly explains a lot about the state of Rita's career for the past few years. While her debut album ORA was released to general acclaim back in 2012, a planned US re-release of the project failed to materialize; and even though the lead single from her second album, 'I Will Never Let You Down', was released in January 2015, a sophomore album hasn't appeared either. All this despite several high profile American TV show appearances promoting her top five Iggy Azalea collab 'Black Widow', a veritable barrage of famous boyfriends, an appearance in Fifty Shades of Grey and even a Golden Globes nomination for 'Grateful'.

"Rita's relationship with Roc Nation is irrevocably damaged," says Ora's lawyers complaint. "Fortunately for Rita, the California legislature had the foresight to protect its artists from the sorts of vicissitudes she's experienced with Roc Nation."

Almost three decades after Sean Penn was accused of heinous physical abuse against Madonna, the pop singer has been forced to deny the allegations in the face of a pending court trial between Penn and filmmaker Lee Daniels.

First reported way back in the 80s, Penn has two serious allegations of domestic abuse against his former partner. In one incident, he allegedly caused Madonna to be hospitalised after beating her across the head with a baseball bat. According to unconfirmed reports, however, Madonna refused to press charges as Penn as already facing sixty days in jail for assaulting a film extra and she did not wish to exacerbate his sentence.

In another reported incident, Penn was accused of breaking into his Shanghai Surprise co-star's Malibu home in 1989 during a drunken rampage and telling her that he owned her "lock, stock and barrel". Reportedly, when Madonna tried to leave her bedroom, he attempted to bind her hands with the cord of an electric lamp; and when she escaped this, Penn chased her into the living room, and bound her to a chair with heavy twine. Threatening to cut off her hair, he allegedly smacked and "roughed up" the singer, before leaving her bound and gagged as he went to purchase more alcohol. He only untied her after she agreed to "perform a degrading sex act on him", after which time she fled the house and drove to the sheriffs office. “I hardly recognized her as Madonna,” said Lieutenant Bill McSweeney. “She was weeping, her lip was bleeding and she had obviously been struck.” The whole incident lasted nine hours. Penn was apparently charged by the DA with domestic assault, but Madonna asked for all charges to be dropped, and Penn ended up with just a misdemeanour.

But in a new statement released today, Madonna denies that Penn ever struck her at all. Through her lawyer, she states that claims to the contrary are “completely outrageous, malicious, reckless and false”, calling Penn “a caring, compassionate individual, as well as an extremely talented actor, creative artist, and philanthropist, including in connection with his work as CEO of the J/P Haitian Relief Organization.”

Referring to the alleged incident with the baseball bat, Madonna stated: “I know the allegations in those and other reports to be completely outrageous, malicious, reckless and false.”

Allegations of the abuse have made the news again recently due to a new defamation lawsuit made against Empire showrunner Lee Daniels by Penn's legal team. In the lawsuit, Penn requests $10 million USD from Daniels, claiming that such remarks have injured his credibility and reputation in his personal life, occupation and philanthropic activities, and that he has never been arrested or charged on domestic abuse charges.

Such comments were made during an interview Daniels gave to The Hollywood Reporter, during which he called racism while comparing legal troubles faced by Empire star Terrence Howard to those faced by Penn. "[Howard] ain’t done nothing different than Marlon Brando or Sean Penn, and all of the sudden he’s some fuckin’ demon. That’s a sign of the time, of race, of where we are right now in America,” said Daniels.

“Daniels, who was on notice of the falsity of his statements and who could have easily checked on the veracity of his false statements before making them, upon information and belief, made defamatory statements with actual malice, reckless disregard for the truth, and for improper purposes, with full knowledge that the statements would be prominently published and repeated throughout and outside of the United States,” stated Penn's lawsuit.

While all legal matters playing out in the public eye tend to be messy, this one is even more confusing. Despite their 1989 divorce, Madonna and Penn are clearly still close, with the latter appearing at her #secretprojectrevolution launch event back in 2013 and rumours of a rekindled relationship persistently circulating. It's possible that Madonna is falsifying the claims as a favour to her ex-husband; but if what Penn says is true, and he has never been arrested or charged on domestic abuse charges (something that would presumably be easily disproven), then it's possible she's telling the truth. Either way, given the prominence of the abuse rumours, it seems like Daniels should perhaps be given a free pass if he did indeed get his facts wrong this time.

Azealia Banks, one-time star and full-time irritant, has made waves for her destructive behaviour once again after being arrested outside New York's Up&Down club last night. The incident mirrors a similiar situation which occured in September, when Banks controversially called a flight attendant a "fucking faggot" after an on-flight scuffle in which she spat in a man's face and scratched at his shirt.

According to sources, Banks was at the club for a private party which required a hand stamp to get in. When she tried to enter the downstairs party with no stamp and a guest who was not on the list, she was told to go back upstairs, which lead to an altercation breaking out with bouncers.

Allegedly, after the two bouncers failed to recognise the rapper, Banks began screaming curse words and racist slurs at them, attracting the attention of the club owner. Even after the owner gave her a stamp to let her in, Banks continued the tirade, screaming her credentials at the guards by claiming that she was featured on Rihanna's upcoming album.

When security approached to escort her from the building, Banks spat in the female bouncers face; and as they escorted her out at around 12:30 a.m., she apparently bit the same guard in the breast, breaking her shirt and, according to a police report, "causing swelling and redness".

After being removed from the club, Banks apparently started screaming, "I'm gonna call the cops!", approaching a police traffic enforcement car.  She then returned to the club with police officers in tow, bizarrely going on to punch the female bouncer in full view of them. "Why are you arresting me?", she asked the cops as she was taken to the Sixth Precinct on a misdemenaor charge of third-degree assault and held for evaluation.

For the record, Rihanna herself has never confirmed any features on ANTI, apart from presumably Paul McCartney and Kanye West on lead single 'FourFiveSeconds'. In fact, the only hint that she might even know who Azealia is comes from this Snapchat video, which appears to show them, Cara Delevigne and Travis Scott dancing at one of Scott's tour afterparties.

On the other hand, Azealia can't seem to keep RiRi's name out of her mouth. In yet another strange move, the rapper released an official press statement back in March of this year just to announce to the world that she was tired of being RiRi's understudy, and that she looked up to female musicians like Lana Del Rey, Meghan Trainor and Taylor Swift. On the other hand, in 2013 Banks referred to Rita Ora as "Rihanna's understudy" during a Twitter beef with the English singer.

That said, this isn't the first time there's been rumours of Azealia and Ri collaborating. Back in 2012, before the release of Lady Gaga's ARTPOP when she and Banks were still on good terms, there was rumours that they, along with Rihanna and Beyonce, would feature on 'Ratchet', an alleged sequel to Gaga's 'Telephone'.

Considered by many to be the Queen of J-Pop, the singer has released eight studio albums, sold over 52 million records worldwide, and has the highest selling album ever in Japan with her debut, 1999's First Love. A record she set way back in 2001, when Distance gained the highest first week sales of an album in a single territory worldwide, was only broken last week with Adele's major 25 rollout. But she's left fans hungry for more after announcing an extended hiatus back in 2010, an unprecedented move for an artist of her calibre.

But if what's being said is true, all that is about to change at the head of next year. According to an unconfirmed report from Sports Hochi, a popular Japanese newspaper, Utada is set to release her ninth studio album - presumably in Japanese - in spring of next year.

Furthermore, they claim that a promotional strategy has already been planned for the album, with one song from the record being used as the theme song for a Japanese TV drama and another being used in a news program.

A comeback from Hikki certainly wouldn't be unexpected. Back in July, the 'Come Back To Me' singer revealed that she had been working on a new album for the past nine months. Her father and manager has also alluded constantly to a new release in the form of a soundtrack single for next year's Kingdom Hearts III, making it the third theme song for the series that Utada has composed after 'Simple and Clean' and 'Sanctuary'.

If and when it's released, Utada's new album will be her first since greatest hits compilation Single Collection Vol. 2 in 2010, which went double platinum, and her first musical release since soundtrack single 'Sakura Nagashi' was released in 2013. While she briefly came out of retirement to host a radio show, KUMA Power Hour, back in 2013, communication since then has been limited to ocassional blog posts and Twitter updates.

If nothing else, Utada certainly has the inspiration to pen a stellar album. Since her retirement five years ago, the popstar has faced the loss of her mother to suicide in 2013, traversed through Europe on a soul-searching journey which involved meeting Skrillex, moved to Italy to marry her notoriously secretive Italian boyfriend, and given birth to a baby boy in July of this year. Matched with her endlessly poetic lyrics and vast span of references that fuse both western and eastern worlds, we may just have the ingredients for another perfect album from Hikki, like 2006's Exodus.

In a somewhat bizarre, if endearing plot twist worthy of American Horror Story itself, AHS star Sarah Paulson has been linked romantically to Two and A Half Men legend Holland Taylor!

 While both actresses have yet to officially confirm the relationship, fans were quick to ship the 40 year old Paulson with the 72 year old Taylor after spotting a series of typically besotted Tweets from the latter stretching back to at least November. The two have clearly been spending a lot of time together, with shots showing them together on red carpets, at each others homes, and out on the town at romantic candlelit dinners.

Supporters were first clued into the relationship earlier this week, when Taylor confirmed her sexuality in a radio interview with WNYC for the first time.

"I’ve been really wrestling with this lately because most of my relationships have been with women and I don’t like talking about them because I don’t like talking about the politics of it all because I’m not political about it," said Taylor. "And so, it’s awkward because if I talk about relationships in my life or people that have been in my life, or somebody I’ve been seeing for a while or this, that, and the other thing, I’d like to be able to just say that, without having to stop and say, ‘So have you come out?’ No, I haven’t come out because I am out. I live out."

When asked who she was dating, however, Taylor refused to kiss and tell, simply saying that "I feel at this point in the conversation it feels kind of awkward [...] I feel very very shy of it." In fact, the only clue that she would offer up was that "There's a very big age difference between us, which I'm sure shocks a lot of people, and it startles me."

It didn't take long for fans to put two and two together after fans investigated Taylor's Twitter account for mentions of a younger woman and found Paulson dominating the feed. Multiple sources later confirmed to People Magazine that the two had been dating for over six months.

While Paulson's sexuality may come as news to some, this isn't the first time the 12 Years A Slave star has been linked to an older lady in the tabloids. From 2004 - 2009, she dated fellow actress Cherry Jones, who was 48 years old at the time while Paulson was only 29. When Jones accepted a Tony award for Best Actress in 2005, she thanked 'Laura Wingfield', a character who Paulson was playing at the time in the Broadway revival of Glass Menagerie. In 2007, the couple declared their love for each other publicly in an interview with Velvetpark.

Since then, however, Paulson has not been officially linked to any other one person. Despite rumours that she has dated actors such as Pedro Pascal, Michael Fassbender and even fellow American Horror Story star Jessica Lange, Paulson has remained tight-lipped on the subject, saying only that "the situation is fluid for me".

Lady Gaga opens up to Billboard about what it means to be Woman of the Year, and how it feels finally taking back control of her life, in the long awaited December issue of the magazine!

In the article, Billboard includes ten reasons why they picked Gaga to grace the front of the magazine. They give an honourable mention to 'Til It Happens To You', calling it "her biggest role this year." Co-written with Diane Warren for the film The Hunting Ground, the song and it's music video document rape on college campuses and how it affects the victim, an eye opener for a lot of the public. They also touch on Gaga's collaborative album Cheek To Cheek with Tony Bennett, her engagement, and the launch of her Born This Way Foundation's "Emotion Revolution", hosted at Yale. Pretty impressive considering she didn't even release an album in 2015, right?

“This is the year I did what I wanted instead of trying to keep up with what I thought everyone else wanted from me. [...] I've really been following my instincts and doing the things that I love and staying true to my discipline," Gaga said while drinking a dirty martini in her Malibu home (in true Gaga fashion!). "It makes me really happy that a year I was following my heart was the year I'm being honoured for my commitment.”

The past two years were rough for Gaga, but she never spoke publicly about it during the campaign for the album ARTPOP. “At the end of 2014, my stylist asked, ‘Do you even want to be a pop star anymore?’ I looked at him and I go, ‘You know, if I could just stop this train right now, today, I would. I just can’t. I need to get off now because I’m going to die.’ When you’re going so fast you don’t feel safe anymore, you feel like you’re being slapped around and you can’t think straight." she said.

"But then I felt hands lifting me. It was like everybody came together to try and put a star back in the sky, and they weren’t going to let me down. [...] Once you start being mindful and really going, ‘Do I actually want that?,’ you start to feel empowered and you find your value. I love being the annoying girl, I believe in the integrity, intelligence and power of people like her, and I want to ignite it.”

But despite some bumps in the road, Gaga hasn't left the scene. She now plays the main role of The Countess on American Horror Story: Hotel, and is speculated to release her fifth solo studio album in 2016. "I put all my rage into that dark art," she admitted, "and then the rest of my life can be spent clearheaded."

The issue hits newsstands this week. In a first for the magazine, which has previously streamed their accompanying awards show live online, this year will see the Woman of the Year Awards broadcast on Lifetime on December the 18th. Gaga, along with honourees such as Lana Del Rey, Demi Lovato, and Tori Kelly, are all expected to attend.

International pop star, rom-com queen and now television's it girl: Jennifer Lopez seems to be capable of anything she puts her mind to!

Following what will undoubtedly be a successful turn on the hyped-up last ever season of American Idol, and the debut of Shades of Blue, a cop drama in which she stars and executive produces, the 'Jenny From The Block' star is now rumoured to perform at next year's Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Jenny's involvement in the show was teased earlier today, when an anonymous Soundcloud account leaked this picture of her in an advertisement for the project.

While it would have been easy to Photoshop a promo image like that, the shot was also accompanied by a short soundbite of J. Lo (or an incredible impersonator) giving fans some good old fashioned football inspiration.

"When it comes to the NFL, it doesn't matter how you start...It's how you finish," says the singer amidst what's presumably a montage of season highlights from the game. While there's no word on what the soundbite could be sourced from, it does sound likely that it was ripped directly from a television advertisement from the game.

 Prior to the news that J. Lo is performing, we previously heard tell earlier in the year that Britney Spears and Taylor Swift were the main contenders for the coveted role. However, with Britney extending her Vegas residency far into 2016 (which allegedly prohibits her from performing on any stage other than The Axis in Planet Hollywood), and Taylor planning an extended hiatus from music, it's possible that J. Lo was set up as the next best option. Coldplay and Maroon 5's names have also been attached to the position. If chosen, J. Lo will follow Katy Perry, who wowed last year with special guest stars Missy Elliott, Lenny Kravitz, and left shark.

An interview on Tuesday's episode of Today will allegedly confirm that Charlie Sheen is HIV positive.

According to TMZ, the actor is set to sit down with reporter Matt Lauer to make the announcement. This comes just days after NBC confirmed that Sheen would be making a "revealing personal announcement" on Tuesday's show.

The news was leaked on Monday when a report was released saying that Sheen had been keeping his HIV status hidden for more than two years. According to TMZ, Sheen has been taking medication daily in order to make the disease undetectable. This means that the actor has likely undergone antiretroviral therapy, which will have reduced the likelihood of transmitting the virus to anyone else by 96% - however, it does not completely eliminate the chance of infecting anyone else. HIV is famous in it's lack of an easily accessible cure, although steps have been made in stem cell therapies which have cured certain test subjects.

According to TMZ, Sheen feels that he has done nothing wrong by not informing the public or any of his sexual partners of his HIV status due to this undetectable nature, despite the fact that this is against doctor recommendations. However, Sheen's family, including his ex-wife Denise Richards and a large portion of Hollywood socialites did allegedly know about Sheen's illness. Adult film star Bree Olson, whom Sheen called a "goddess" when they famously dated in 2011, has already denied that she has the virus.

Supposedly, Sheen contracted the virus while dating Olson and as he slept unprotected with numerous women, while he was simultaneously injecting drugs intravenously. In fact, Sheen's famous mental breakdown, when he claimed to be a "warlock" with "tiger blood" and "Adonis DNA", was apparently triggered by his realisation that he had contracted the virus.

While Sheen's failure to inform his sexual partners of the virus may be problematic, and we certainly don't wish HIV on anyone, we can't help but be happy that such a high-profile celebrity is coming clean about their status. We're hoping that Sheen's fame will help to banish some of the stigma that remains around the disease once and for good!

We're dangerously close to the end of the year, and as most normal people start to consider Christmas presents and family vacations, pop music lovers are getting ready for another big event in their calendars: mash-up season. First triggered by DJ Earworm way back in 2009 with his hit-filled track 'United States of Pop', epic end of year mash-ups have basically become a tradition in the pop world and are now something fans can look forward to every year, with the biggest recieving millions of views and extensive radio play.

First started in 2010 by Daniel Kim, 'Pop Danthology' is one such mashup which often jams in dozens of your favourite pop songs to make a cohesive, danceable track. For the first time, 2015's 'Pop Danthology' is split into two parts a decision Kim says was dictated by the fact that "it has become increasingly more challenging to satisfy my fans and fit in all of their many favourite songs in my year-end mashup".

Part one is just over four minutes long and features an impressive 45 songs, ranging from tracks by pop starlets such as Demi Lovato's 'Cool For The Summer', Hilary Duff's 'Sparks', Kelly Clarkson's 'Heartbeat Song' to sleeper hits like 'Fetty Wap's 'Trap Queen', Skrillex, Diplo and Justin Bieber's 'Where Are U Now', Maroon 5's 'Sugar', and Zedd and Selena Gomez's 'I Want You To Know'.

Meanwhile, part two clocks in at just over five minutes, featuring a grand total of 37 songs including Adele's 'Hello', Ariana Grande's 'Focus', Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea's 'Pretty Girls', Ellie Goulding's 'Love Me Like You Do', Major Lazer, DJ Snake, and MO's 'Lean On', Rihanna's 'Bitch Better Have My Money', Selena Gomez and A$AP Rocky's 'Good For You', Silento's 'Watch Me', Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar's 'Bad Blood' and The Weeknd's 'Can’t Feel My Face'.

In anticipation of his upcoming release for new album Purpose in just three days, Justin Bieber appeared on Ellen today - and dropped a few bombshells regarding the inspiration behind his new album: Selena Gomez!

Admitting that he isn't entirely over the popstar, Bieber admitted that he was open to reuniting with Selena, saying that they could "possibly" get back together in the future to be the "awesome duo" they used to be.

“I think we are both on our own journeys of figuring ourselves out,” Justin said. “I think maybe once we figure ourselves out we can come together and make an awesome duo or she’ll find someone awesome and I’ll find someone awesome. I just want her to be happy, honestly.”

We wonder if Selena gets any say in that?

After Ellen pushed him for information regarding the new album, Justin confirmed that three songs off the album were inspired by the Jelena breakup: lead single 'What Do You Mean', new single 'Sorry', and opening track 'Mark My Words'. The first two were pretty obvious given their lyrical content ("First you wanna go to the left then you wanna turn right, Wanna argue all day, make love all night"), but we'll have to wait until November 13th to check out 'Mark My Words'.

Not discussed was the recently surfaced track 'Strong', which finds Justin and Selena professing their love for each other over a slow jam beat. First leaked after it was played on Drake's OVO Radio a few weeks back, there's been confusion over when the song was recorded - but some anonymous sources claim that it was recorded over three years ago and was never intended to be featured on an album.

Rebel Wilson has revealed today that she was offered the chance to work with the youngest two members of the Kardashian Klan, but turned it down.

Speaking to Australia's Kyle & Jackie O on their radio station earlier today, the Pitch Perfect star revealed that she was asked by MTV to present an award at their annual Video Music Awards ceremony alongside Kendall and Kylie, but turned it down due to her dislike of the family.

“I was asked to present at the latest VMAs with Kendall and Kylie and said no,” Rebel stated while live on air. “I said I’d do it myself. What they stand for is totally against what I stand for.”

But Wilson wasn't happy to stop at dragging the Jenner sisters, going on to discredit Kim's rise to popularity.

“They seem a bit superficial and their careers aren’t really based on talent,” she said. “I know they’re super popular, but I’m all about personality and working hard to get to where I am. How Kim Kardashian got famous from the sex tape and I just went to acting school and worked really hard.”

Kind of ironic for a woman who's based her entire career on her weight and a scandal where she lied about her age, right?

After almost three full years of waiting, everyone's favourite bad gal Rihanna has finally released the title and album artwork for her forthcoming eighth studio album!

The project, which was formerly known as the fan-dubbed #R8 on Twitter and Instagram, was officially announced at the Los Angeles Mama Gallery on Wednesday night, when Rih joined forces with Israeli artist Roy Nachum to debut the gorgeous album artwork he's designed for the upcoming project

"This is my favourite album cover I've ever done," said Rih to her fans, before the cover was unveiled as a black sheet covering the canvas was dropped.

The work features an image of a pre-school aged Rihanna whose eyes are masked with a gold crown. Over a background of red and white is a roughly sketched black balloon that she holds in her hands, while overlaying the entire image is a poem written in braille, continuing the tradition of earlier single covers from the era. Written by Chloe Mitchell, the poem reads "Sometimes the ones who have sight are the blindest", which when taken with the vision-obscuring crown suggest a vision oriented theme for the album.

It was only after the artwork was revealed that Rihanna officially announced the title for the album - ANTI. No word yet on the inspiration behind the title, but it seems to follow in the same veins as fan favourite LOUD with a similiarly bold expression.

We're also still left waiting on a release date for the album, which marks the longest a Rihanna Navy member has had to wait for a Rih album ever. Rihanna, who was notorious up until this year for releasing a new album every year, hasn't put out an album since 2012's Unapolagetic.

Thus far, three singles expected to be on Rihanna's new album have been released. "FourFiveSeconds" peaked at No. 4 on the Hot 100, "Bitch Better Have My Money" hit No. 15 and recent single "American Oxygen" stalled at 78. Rihanna has topped the survey 13 times, tying Michael Jackson for third-most Hot 100 No. 1s ever.

Just days ahead of the release of her new album Revival, Selena Gomez has revealed that she underwent chemotherapy for lupus.

Speaking to Billboard for her upcoming cover story, Selena confirmed her illness for the first time after years of speculation from fans, discussing how the disease temporarily forced her to put her career on hold.

“I was diagnosed with lupus, and I’ve been through chemotherapy. That’s what my break was really about,” she told the magazine, confessing “I could’ve had a stroke.”

Discussing rumours of depression after her breakup with Justin Bieber that spread during her break, Selena seemed happy to take the chance to vent against her naysayers. “I wanted so badly to say, ‘You guys have no idea. I’m in chemotherapy. You’re assholes.’ I locked myself away until I was confident and comfortable again.”

"I’m so fucking nice to everybody, and everyone is so vile to me. I’ve been working since I was 7. I’ve been a UNICEF ambassador since I was 17. It’s so disappointing that I’ve become a tabloid story.”

Every cloud has a silver lining, however, and Selena says that she's used this anger towards both her haters and her ex as her motivation for her new album. She rejects the idea that it was Bieber who triggered her rebirth, saying, “No. This is my time. I’ve deserved this. I earned it. This is all me.”

While Selena's news may come as a shock to fans, she isn't the first high-profile celebrity to be diagnosed with the disease. Other singers like Lady Gaga and Toni Braxton have discussed their experiences with the illness, and it was rumoured that the legendary Michael Jackson suffered from it as well, which according to theory would explain his desire to stay out of the sun, his alleged drug use, and some of his erratic behaviour.

Azealia Banks, the former rapper who is now known more for her insane Twitter rants and aggressive publicity stunts, has faced more controversy today following an encounter on a plane in which she spit in a man's face, punched him, and called a flight attendant a "fucking faggot".

The incident started when Azealia, who was sitting in row six, tried to leave the plane ahead of a French passenger and his wife, who were seated in row three. The man held out his hand to prevent her from going past them, and Azealia allegedly snapped on the passenger.

Allegedly, Azealia began by spitting in the man's face, before attempting to punch him in the face. She then began to claw at his shirt, hurtling insults as she did so.

At this point, a flight attendant grabbed the rapper's bag and asked her to calm down. She supposedly lost her balance and fell down onto the seat, before standing up and attempting to grab the luggage back from the attendant.

The video shows the outcome of this as she screams at the attendant for her bag and, after it is given to her, calling him a "fucking faggot". The co-pilot, who had emerged from the front of the plan after noticing the ruckus, told her that police were called, causing her to run off the plane and drop her cell phone.

The police eventually found Azealia as she picked up her baggage, and spoke with witnesses on the plane and the French man who had been attacked. The man decided not to press charges as he was on holidays in the country and the legal process would be lengthy and difficult.

As is her fashion, Banks took to Twitter not long after the incident to share her side of the story. According to the rapper, she was actually punched in the face by the man prior to her violence, saying, “Ok so I get hit in the face by a man and no one cares. The[y] only hear what I called the man who was blocking my exit. I don’t care. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I don’t tolerate bitchassness and I don’t tolerate men putting their hands on me.” The man's violence was not corroborated by any of the other witnesses on the plane.

Azealia has since deleted the Tweets, but left up one saying, “Now you all can sit here in your fake outrage and discuss this amongst yourselves !! I’m headed to the beauty parlor! SIYONARA MOTHERF*CKERS.”

This isn't the first time Azealia's gotten into hot water over her use of the word "faggot". Back in 2013, after beefing with Bauuer over her remix of his hit track 'Harlem Shake', Banks called not only the DJ but also Perez Hilton, who got involved in the beef, a "faggot", again on Twitter.

It's been a bad year for Iggy Azalea, and judging by comments made by her label-runner and friend T.I., things aren't going to get better any time soon.

Months after a poorly-recieved collaborative single with pop icon Britney Spears ('Pretty Girs' was promised to be a hit but ended up only making it to #29 on the charts), a cancelled headlining tour and ongoing accusations of racism and homophobia, Azalea has now been shunned by former mentor and inspiration T.I.

In a recent interview with radio station Hot 97, the 'Live Your Life' rapper stated that his relationship with Azalea "took a bit of a rest stop", with the nucleus of the argument being shady comments she posted on Twitter about hip-hop icon Q-Tip.

“After the Q-Tip thing… After I kind of had smoothed it over, like okay, ‘What is really meant to be said here is…’ After it was cool, everything was cool, and then they kind of came back and undid what I had just [accomplished],” the rapper said. “Imma be all the way real, I’m a loyal partner. If I rock with you I’m gon’ rock with you".

T.I. isn't completely dismissive of Iggy's struggles though, explaining that many of her troubles were the result of bearing the brunt of people's "pent-up aggression" regarding her cultural outsiderness.

"Any human being anywhere is going to have a hard time...It's very difficult to be the new kid and to be the butt of the jokes and to be the direction of all the negativity. I really do feel that they [Iggy’s team] just needed a little more time to adjust, which I feel they can do. They have the talent, they have the charisma."

In the first occurrence of its kind, an announcement today confirmed that a holographic depiction of the late Whitney Houston is set to travel the world on a concert tour throughout 2016.

Announced by Pat Houston, Whitney’s sister-in-law and manager of her estate, and Hologram USA, who patents the holographic technology in America, the concert will follow in the tradition of other legendary deceased singers who have made appearances from beyond the grave through the use of the groundbreaking technology, including Michael Jackson, 2Pac and Frank Sinatra.

Houston stated that the hologram will be a “reinvention of one the most celebrated female artists in history” and will “continue a legacy of performances that will not be forgotten in years to come”.

The announcement comes just days after Hologram USA announced that a show featuring a hologram of renowned jazz singer Billie Holiday will open later this year at the iconic Apollo Theatre in Harlem. Holiday passed in 1959 after liver and heart disease brought on from excessive alcohol and drug consumption, while Houston, herself, drowned in 2012 following habitual cocaine use.

The artist formally known as Ke$ha has proven once again her dedication to the LGBT community, after officiating yet another same-sex wedding – the second after a somewhat dicey gay marriage back in 2012 between Monique Morrison and Gretchen Helt, which occurred when same-sex marriage was still illegal in the state of California.

This time around, Kesha had a personal connection with the couple – with one of the grooms, Vittorio Masecchia, acting as her hairstylist for the past few years, and his partner Felipe Noqueira being a close friend by association.

Kesha posted a picture of herself with the couple on Instagram on Wednesday (Sept. 9), with the caption “All u need is love.” This was followed by an entire series of photographs from Masecchia and Noqueira later in the day, which included depictions of their backyard, covered in fairy lights and tall candles and scattered with rose petals to celebrate the big day. Through Instagram, the couple also revealed that they had forsaken the traditional wedding ring look for a more modern twist, choosing to use blue ring pops as their official rings.

Kesha’s been trying to keep herself busy lately while she struggles through a lawsuit with long-time producer and business partner Dr. Luke. After gay marriage was legalized all over the country in June, Kesha tweeted, “omg lets get married. I’m ordained. anyone? I’m so happy. I’m crying.”

Meanwhile, the pop star was recently confirmed to be appearing on the next season of hit TV show Jane The Virgin. In her first major acting gig, the singer is set to have a recurring role as the next-door-neighbour of Jane, who doubles as a rockstar.

Playing at his Made in America festival set last night, Nick Jonas surprised the crowd with the tease of a brand new, never before heard song, 'Area Code'; and word on the street is that it's dedicated to a certain Disney Channel witch.

'Area Code', the second in a line of new Jonas songs after 'Levels' a couple of weeks ago, seems to describe a steamy encounter that Jonas has had - or at least the booty call he made to get it started. “I'm in your area code / I hit you up, are you alone? / So many places this could go / Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah / I'm fucked up, you don't even know / Baby, it's better that you don't / I'm guessing now my cover's blown,” he coos, before the real kicker of the song comes in.

“You say I've never been good for you / You can’t deny I gave it good to you,” he sings - a direct reference, melody and all, to the newest Selena Gomez single, 'Good For You'. This wouldn't necessarily be a huge deal, if not for the fact that Jonas and Gomez have openly dated in the past; and that Jonas didn't really help matters by adding fuel to the fire as he retweeted several fan posts.

“Oh my gosh. Nick. Selena. Never thought I'd be saying this again! Area Code references 'Good for You.’”, said one, while another commented, “When u hang out with Selena Gomez.’

Meanwhile, some fans are speculating that the whole debut of the track is a publicity stunt and that Jonas is simply planning to get Selena on the track for a verse. Writing from his official Soundcloud page on a stream of the song, Jonas implied that the song was unfinished, stating “I need someone to put a verse on this.” We wouldn't be surprised if we heard the song on Jonas' upcoming album - but as a duet rather than a solo track.

Are you ready to check into the American Horror Story hotel yet? If not, this new tidbit regarding the new season's upcoming Halloween special is going to have you packing your Louis Vuitton bags, jumping in your stretch limo and heading straight for the heart (no pun intended) of Los Angeles!

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly recently, showrunner Ryan Murphy revealed several key details about the upcoming seasons Halloween episode, which will be split into two parts . Typically pivotal episodes in each season, the Halloween episodes tend to mark turning points in the series mythologies where anything can happen - and because it's American Horror Story, you can expect a whole lot of gore and terror to boot.

Titled 'Devil's Night', the upcoming special opens with the return of AHS actor Lily Rabe (well known for her role as Sister Mary Eunice in the Asylum season), who is now playing serial killer Aileen Wurnos and hosting a dinner party at the Hotel Cortez with guest and detective John Lowe (Wes Bentley). According to Murphy, “The biggest serial killers of all time all come to the hotel. Gacey. Aileen. John Lowe’s invited to a devil’s night dinner. He thinks someone is pulling a huge prank on him. It’s the biggest serial killers of all time in a room with him and he has to figure who is trying to make him lose his mind.” 

In the second part of the episode, Darren Criss (well known from Murphy's other show Glee) plays a typical hipster who, with his girlfriend, checks into the Hotel Cortez to avoid the trick or treaters back home in Silverlake. According to Murphy, “They’re horrified they can’t get their artisanal cheese and they hate the sheets and they put Iris [Kathy Bates' character] through the wringer and she’s not happy.”

One Direction confirmed in an official press release today that they are to "split up in March". The group, which sans Zayn Malik now consists of Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan, are taking a break to focus on solo endeavours and have decided not to tour their upcoming fifth album.

But worry not! The split may well be temporary, with management saying that the plan is to go on hiatus only for "at least a year".

It is definitely not a split and they fully intend to get back together at some time in the future. But for now it is the end and they go out on top as the world's most popular music act.

Following a reunion in London last weekend, the group made the joint decision to split up following their "incredible" five year run since their creation on the 2010 English version of The X Factor.

It was further confirmed that the departure of Zayn from the band earlier this year had no bearing on the band's decision to split, with management saying:

This was the plan with or without Zayn. In fact, the band have been making amazing music and been incredibly happy without Zayn. Of course they would have preferred that he had stayed in the band, but they would have taken this extended hiatus even if he hadn't left.

The group premiered their latest music video for new single 'Drag Me Down' this past week, with an album confirmed for the coming year. After that, their future remains uncertain.

Major Lazer – aka Diplo’s group – has revealed that his smash hit “Lean On” was at one time turned down by both superstar Rihanna and hip-hop princess Nicki Minaj.

Sitting down with Time Magazine recently, Diplo revealed that the song was originally written by MØ as a slow reggae jam – a demo of which leaked online recently – before it was pitched to both Rih and Nicki.

Quentin Tarantino's upcoming sure-to-be-masterpiece The Hateful Eight is only a few months away from it's release on December 25th, when it's being released as the newest family-friendly holiday classic, perfect for kids of all ages. With a recently released trailer making buzz online, Tarantino has decided to tease us again with a series of new posters inspired by the film, and featuring seven cast members from the main "octet" of characters.

The posters boast of the films all star cast which features Kurt Russell as John Ruth, Jennifer Jason Leigh as Daisy Domergue, Walton Goggins as Chris Mannix, Demián Bichir as Bob, Tim Roth as Oswaldo Mobray, Michael Madsen as Joe Gage, and Bruce Dern as General Sanford Smithers. Notably absent is Samuel L. Jackson as Major Marquis Warren, who judging by his brief appearance in the trailer is already being set up as a fan favourite.

When it comes to design, the poster are classic Tarantino, with a smattering of heavy, atmospheric snow offsetting the vivid red Asian-inspired strikes behind each character dictating which of the core eight characters they are. Kurt Russell and Jennifer Jason Leigh's characters are the only two to share a single poster, hinting towards a possible intimacy between the two.
